I'll admit I can't relate to many fellow citizens, but I really don't understand the "predatory lending" comments.

In all my life, no banker has ever hassled me or offered me a loan. I've received tons of mail over the years from companies that offer just about everything. But not once did a banker call me or follow me around trying to sell me a loan. To compare bankers to drug dealers is a stretch.

This person made choices. Bad choices. The bankers made some bad choices. Neither should be borne by the taxpayer. Let them both deal with their actions alone.

Not in America.
Too big to fail.
Too stupid to fail.
Too entitled to fail.
Government will always be there to pick up the pieces for you so you can do it all over again.

This is exactly how I feel. The woman should lose the house. The bank should lose the money they bet on a bad deal. And the government should stay completely out of it. No more forcing bad loans, no more bailing banks or homeowners out.

People learn from consequences. Make a stupid mistake, go through some hard consequences, and then most people will be more careful the next time. The government is constantly trying to keep companies and individuals from ever suffering any consequences, so we are all doomed to a country of failures.
