Could you explain exactly what civil right's are being "stripped"?
THEY want so badly to liken the Civil Rights movement of the mid-20th century to be the same thing as what the gay people are pushing and really think THEY can win some votes from them. I heard a black leader talking today who said the left had really screwed up in their support of anybody who was against Chick Fil A.
I wonder how much the business of the business was over normal today when all those people went there to buy from them and what percentage were black. It will be interesting to see the MSM report this one.

You know, I really liked that woman for years but that one thing was enough for me. She turned out to be not a lot different than John McCain.
Have you read the Bible? Do you sin? Have you ever lusted after someone, had sex with someone you weren't married to, or taken the Lord's name in vain? If you have sinned, then how can you judge someone's sexual preference? It is not up to you to judge others, and a true Christian would know this. There are many things in the Bible that people do not follow today. I said this earlier on this thread, and no one commented. It seems that some people only want to pick and choose what supports their belief at the time. The Old Testament is full of examples of conduct that we would never follow today. I believe that we should worry more about ourselves than others. I also know that I believe that God made everyone, and He doesn't make mistakes. He also loves us all.
Why do you think I am judging you for quoting one verse of Scripture? You will have to take that up with God. Maybe we will all stand at His judgement seat but you.

The difference between someone saved and someone who is not is that one knows and admits their sin, the other does not.
Exactly. And just like some Christians used to use the Bible as a defense for slavery while other Christians were against it, some Christians today use the Bible as a defense for their anti-gay beliefs while other Christians support homosexuals.
And allow me to clarify that I am not equating slavery to being anti-gay. I'm just making a comparison.
I see the comparison, however, one injustice by some does not disqualify the validity of the Bible nor the morals related to sexual behavior.
When you use your personal religious beliefs as an excuse or justification for stripping people of their civil rights and enshrining discrimination into our laws than you are most definately a bigot.

I'm wondering the same. The federal government has no power over marriage. It's not mentioned anywhere in the Constitution. States do. And in most states that voted on this go with the traditional view, including California.

What's disturbing is that you think all gay's are irrational and unstable-- and that you don't count them as normal people. You really need to examine your attitudes and perhaps listen to a less talk radio and do a little more introspection so you don't come off as a homophobic bore. I'm not joining and kiss-in's either, but using it a convenient excuse to paint all gays with a mean and broad brush is equally inappropriate.
I don't think straight people who hold hands or kiss in public are saying "Look at me, Look at me, Look at me . I'm stttrrraiiggghhtt!" Why would you make the opposite assumption?
Would you say any of this to people in person. Or does the online environment simply let you release your inner-homophobia and be congratulated for it?
For the record-- I am a gay owner of a business with multiple employees. I take an active part in my families life, date and live a very well rounded life. I make an excellent income and push the cart back to the collection area when I go to the supermarket. I am a good person, and certainly don't need the approval of someone who get's their ideas about other from talk radio.
I am sad for you. It must be very tiring to judge so much and so severely.
Straight people are not staging kiss-ins at gay establishments or in fast food joints. And if they were I'd have something to say about that too.
I had something to say when mothers were whipping out their bare breasts in shopping malls to nurse and I didn't agree with them either.
The only gays I like are those who keep their sexuality to themselves.
Gays like Sally Ride for example.
