Well, it looks like the Republicans are wasting no time crashing the economy. I guess the good economic news of the past few weeks was too much for them. Time to start up the old wrecking crew. Thanks Republicans.
The people most affected by this tax cut don't pay taxes anyway. Stop the nonsense.
I wasn't a big proponent of the tax cut, Areo. I didn't really care, but read the article. It looks like this is going to damage the economy, which is what the Republicans want to do. They are going to fight any kind of recovery tooth and nail throughout 2012.

Exactly. The GOP is going to obstruct absolutely anything that is going to better the country for their own political games to try and make Obama look bad.

They proved with their stunt back in the summer that they will definitely hold the economy hostage if it hurts Obama. It's all about beating Obama in 2012. And who pays? We do.

The Republicans are still in Washington, prepared to hash out a deal. They want the cuts for a year, not 60 days. It's the dimwits led by Reid that took a hike. Reid is the one playing games, then trying to blame the Republicans.
Social security is already on the brink, taking more money away from it, is just going to indebt the next generations that much more. Somebody should be making cuts elsewher to pay for this sucker.

These tax cuts, which will go to the middle class, needs to be funded. However, the 4-trillion-over-a-decade Bush tax cuts do not. In fact, let's go ahead and start a couple of unfunded wars and an unfunded prescription entitlement give-away too.

Harry Reid is the obstructionist in this. Are you really so partisan you cannot see that fact? Really?
