That's pretty much a conservative position but the phrase "racial profiling" seems to have different meanings depending on who you're talking to.
What was the race of the ones who killed 3000 Americans on 911? (White, little old ladies?)
What 'race' is in the majority .. streaming across the border and digging tunnels to run drugs into the country? (White, little old ladies?)
On December the 7th 1941 .. What was the 'race' of the people who bombed Pearl Harbor? (White, little old ladies?)
I can think of other examples of WHY and HOW 'racial profiling' can and should be used and would be .. much more effective than strip searching 'White, little old ladies'!

not sure i understand your post. u mean are the laws and rules regarding law enforcement different than hiring for a job ? yes they are. profiling is used in law enforcement extensively.
does TSA look for 8 year old boy scouts at check points or men in robes with towels on their heads sweating alot and chanting in arabic looking around very nervous and wild eyed.

Yep. About your original point -- my brother-in-law is a tall Arab who speaks with a heavy Morrocon accent. (He came to America in his early 20s.) He laughed and laughed when he told me the story of a little old white lady in front of him being pulled out of line at an airport for a "random" search. He thought that was hilarious. If he were in charge of the "random" searches, he would have picked the tall Arab and left the little old white ladies alone.

Some Israelis are difficult to distinguish from your everyday Muslim and yet, the Israelis use 'racial profiling' as their #1 weapon against terrorists and .. it is very effective!

law suits caused the random searches. but of course the public never realizes that most public service jobs are molded and created by a series of law suits. that is why our public servants act so crazy like the story u told.
