Really? Please do tell us all about freedom and civil rights in 1850.

As you insinuate change is bad and things should stay as they are. You do realize the founders put provision in the Constitution for amendement, right?

I must've missed the bulletin, just when were YOU apponted judge and jury of just WHAt ideas are 'fit' to be 'American'?
Because they are not very bright, and the corporate propagandists can easily convince them to vote against their own economic best interests, and what is best for this country, and in favor of what is best for the ultra wealthy and no one else. They think they "love" this country when their actions work towards its ruination.
The Dumbing Down of America is deliberate and targeted at conservatives, and, sadly, very successful
I don't think so. I know some liberal idiots and some conservative idiots. And I know some equally smart and thoughtful members of both camps as well.
I think that the best way for all of us to become a more peaceful society is to just avoid all lumpage, and try to stay as polite to each other here as we would be if we were talking face to face.
Discussion is the lifeblood of democracy. Name calling is nothing but a waste of time and produces nothing.
Right after defining 'pre-born' as a silly-ass meaningless piece of self-Righteous tripe.
It's a simple term for even dolts to understand. It's a person prior to emerging from the birth canal. Thought it wold be self evident, but for some people, the agenda blinds them completely (you, for example).

Wasn't around in 1850.
I agree with the amendment process. For example, when the feds wanted to ban alcohol, they got an amendment allowing them to do so (since the Constitution granted no such authority). Now when they want to ban stuff, they just say "eff the Constitution, ban it".
The basics of freedom, autonomy etc., don't change. Strong central gov't being lethal to freedom, hasn't changed. How can you not see this.
Be a good, patriotic, obedient American. Do as you're told, don't question anything, and tell yourself that you're free as you stuff those Freedom Fries down yore gizzard.
It seems like most Democrat progressive liberals hate America. Why is that?
Is it just to be different from the majority of Americans who are evil, bad, white, religious, conservatives? Is it because of their own inherent failures to succeed in the country of opportunity?
Is it Groupthink? An inability to reason since liberalism is a mental disorder?
It's very weird considering that most Democrats are trying to turn the exceptionalism of America into Euro-lite, even though many of them have never lived in or experienced Europe for any extended period, let alone visit on a few days' vacation time.
Why do they despise the country their families immigrated to and they were born into?
Conservatives overwhelmingly believe that the United States is the last best hope. However, by a 43% to 29% margin, liberals disagree.
Just 31% of those in the Political Class see the United States in such positive terms (see more on the Political Class), compared to 58% of Mainstream voters.
Polling released earlier shows that only 45% of Political Class voters believe the United States is a more positive force in the world than the United Nations. Seventy-nine percent (79%) of Mainstream voters see America as a more positive force.
Great post! We are still an exceptional nation, but the grip is slipping. Why would anyone in their right minds not want the place where they are to be competitive, strong, powerful, safe, prosperous, and successful? My gosh, as opposed to what? Slavery, poverty, lawlessness, welfare, sloth. It boggles my mind the way leftists think. Capitalism and exceptionalism must be the rule going forward and must be embraced, because those are but two things that have made America great.
The opposite of that is what liberals embrace. Mind-boggling.
