Exactly! The surface temps influence is strongest on the lowest layers of air near it and it's a highly localized effect. Up high, IE in the upper troposphere, that influence is negligible. Air is an extremely poor conductor of heat. The air near the ground is warm due to the surface heat conduction. That heat cannot conduct itself effectively into the upper troposphere. Lower troposphere with high air density, yes, upper, no. Couple that with the very low pressure (ie widely spaced molecules so they don't transfer energy well) at those altitudes, and you have air that stays cold no matter how hot the surface 35000 ft below is.

You said a few hundred posts ago that all these chemtrail flights are controlled by a master computer....

"Probably" don9? Your entire chemtrail conspiracy is based on "probably"?

You should change your mantra from:

THE TRUTH

~to~

PROBABLY THE TRUTH

Yes, never mind all the name calling and personal attacks don9 has done.

Without those this thread would be 30 posts long....

Well don9, you said a couple of days ago you were sitting outside and the chemtrail planes were covering the sky above your head with chemtrails....

Since then you have not mentioned once that you were feeling ill nor missed posting comments here all day....

We don't need to prove anything, your own words prove you are FOS...

Chemtrails are not real, they are contrails.
The government does not have a secret program to spray chemicals from aircraft.
Ahhh the good 'ol CYA, they have that on your world too?

I received the tracking hardware for the weather balloon today, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that there's a temperature sensor built into it! I'll need to desolder it from the board and mount it external to the payload, after checking the temperature range of the sensor to make sure it'll register correctly at altitude, but that was a nice little bonus, and it'll help prove to folks like Don that it actually is cold at those altitudes. It'll also save me from having to deal with the additional sensors and hardware to collect the data.

ETA: Here's the temperature sensor they use: http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/sto...55_-1?CID=GOAW
It's good down to (Don's going to love this) -40°C.

Does it also have a camera?
