How ridiculous. This post illustrates the fact that auditing WORKS. Mistakes and even fraud happen in all organizations, and hopefully the devices set in place work as they did in this case. Though clearly, this was a case of sloppiness and PP was fined.
If you're willing to throw out the baby with the bath water, then by all means, let's ban the Catholic Church because of the criminal wrongdoing of so many of it's priests. Kind of a stretch, isnt it?

And really...killing a deer? My DH hunts and we have venison and elk in the freezer. You're being ridiculous.

There was NO finding of wrong-doing by the Planned Parenthood clinic in question. [snip]
ok, PP paid the state $345,000 to settle because they engaged in right-doing ?

Criminal activity ? No.

They reimbursed the state for some Medicaid billing issues that represented less than 5% of the total Medicaid funds they received for the year. That's perfectly normal when a Medicaid audit occurs. Medicaid audits, like all government audits, have to pay for themselves, and so always find something to dicker over.

They wouldn't have all the paper work drawn up and still proceeding, if this was mute!! I'm not Catholic and I agree the priest have done wrong and should be punished. What is wrong with you people, I've repeatedly told you, I'm not Catholic, Protestant, or any other main stream Christian and I don't travel door to door

Guess, your not following as close as you think you are, look back and see where I was accused of being a carnivore and the poster was off to have a veggie shake. I'm not being ridiculous, you come here bashing Christan's and agree to many abortions, they won't throw hunting issues at you.

Except PETA's mostly bad, and PP is 99% good.

When someone supports a group their willing to look the other way when performing criminal activity. If they don't see it, it didn't happen. They refuse to see PP has lawyer's that keep this from going forward plus hiding the information. Good criminals know how to do this.

They blame the rich for these same actives and look the other way with PP.

Every company on earth committs "criminal activity" if that means bad bookkeeping or tax errors or, oh hey, HUMAN ERROR. Nope, we are none of us free from that. Dang criminals, all of us.

People who support PETA are generally idiots, so I really don't care what they think.

That's a silly rationalization.

"My opponents are guilty. They deny they are guilty, which proves that they are guilty."

They were investigated. The audit showed some accounting issues. If there had been criminal wrongdoing, they would have been prosecuted for the criminal actions. There wasn't any criminal wrongdoing, and the accounting issues were dealt with via a negotiation between the state and Planned Parenthood, with Planned Parenthood returning less than $350,000 in funds to Medicaid. Which represents LESS THAN 5% of what Medicaid paid out to this particular clinic.
