Much of the attention has centered around an explosive document titled "2012 Heartland Climate Strategy", which contains stuff like their plans for "dissuading [K-12 teachers] from teaching science".
That was the FIRST clue the document was fake.
What follows is a good list of the reasons why the document is a fake.
Lets look at a list of who really gets the big money on the GW issue;
Poor things, they were really wounded by Climategate, and they’ve been waiting, praying that some day someone would level the playing field and show that skeptics were just as petty, shameless, and money-grubbing as their team turned out to be (not to mention hypocritical, deceptive and incompetent). In their dreams.
Instead the hyped non-denier-gate shows just how incredibly successful the Heartland Institute is. The skeptics have managed to turn the propaganda around against a tide of money, and it is really some achievement.
Oh...the Left's newest boogeyman is in there to...the Koch brothers gave a whopping........$25K to the Heartland Inst in 2011...for Health Care.
I wasn't going to write about yesterday's Heartland Institute shock-horror revelations in the Guardian because I thought it was a non-story. "Independent libertarian think-tank spends trifling* sums of money to counter the state's liberal-left propaganda". Gosh, hold the front page. Run it next to the story about the Pope being caught worshipping regularly in Rome and the photograph of a bear pooping behind a tree…
At this point, I view the whole Global Warming debate through the very same lens a jury would view a criminal trial. Enough reasonable doubt has been cast to pursuade me to believe the Earth is "NOT GUILTY" of warming.
The Al Gore's of the world truly did a disservice to he debate by politicizing science. Fake documents and other data manipulation makes it impossible to convict mankind of warming crimes.

Just one look at his response and coverage of the 2nd release of Climategate emails leaves little doubt where his biases lie.

As we have seen by links in this thread, the amount of funding for skeptics pales in comparison to the funding given to the AGWarmists. There is a very good reason the skeptics are winning the argument even though they are outspent and out funded by the warmists. People know BS when they see it, they know when they've been snookered.
Oh, raise your hand if you believe this guy received the "fake" document in the mail...the one that was scanned, not authored by....anyone and looks like it was written by a AGWarmist, with a time/date stamp for the west coast ( Heartland doesn't have offices on WC, but GUESS who resides there?).

Don't worry Peter, the AGWarmists will promote you for this and give you a raise.
They are desperate, trashing about in their death throes.
AGW is dead as a movement. Administrations and organizations are distancing themselves, adjusting their policy and official statements, "green tech" that rode the politics rather than the viability of their product are collapsing, museums are taking down their "climate doom" displays, etc...
This crowd was caught in their lies and as they continue to grasp to proclaim themselves correct, they get dirtier and dirtier.
This movement was never about "science", it was about activism, politics, and money.
Notice how the usual soldiers for AGW on this board aren't touching this thing with a 10-foot pole.
