Fight it all you want. Every year that passes, just makes you look even more ridiculous. Marriage equality is coming, and once again, the right go down forever as being on the wrong side of yet another social issue. If only they could practice what they preach, and stay out of peoples lives...

Sick. Homosexuality is unnatural and abomination. We've turned our backs away from God and it has had a disastrous effect on our country. God created Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve. Thankfully the state I live in knows this is wrong.

LOL, and you live in KEY WEST? One of the gayest places in all of Florida?

South Florida is actually progressive on the issue of gay rights.

If you dislike gays, you might want to leave the keys and consider a move to some small town in northern Florida. Religious borne ignorance worn on the sleeve as if it's a badge of honor (instead of the badge of disgrace it really is) is still fashionable in many places up there.

GOOD TH1NG W3 L1V3 1N 4 S3CUL4R SOC13TY.

You know, where the concept of "whose god(s) is/are the right the one(s)" isn't an issue.

Because my God is perfectly fine with homosexuality.

Florida will probably be one of those states that never willingly recognizes same-sex marriages, eventually having its laws prohibiting them nullified by the United States Supreme Court -- in the same way that it was one of 16 states that refused to repeal its anti-miscenegation laws, only to have them ruled unconstitutional in 1967.

In the meantime, it is likely that the majority of states will come around on their own.

Good for Maryland, so far. Here's to hoping they'll make good in November!

I really don't know what me living in Key West has to do with anything but homosexuality is still immoral regardless of where I live. However I do plan on moving away in a couple years. It's too expensive down here.

Maybe that's why Key West is the way it is, because of how liberal the govt has allowed it to become and I don't mean that in a good way nor do long time residents.

But I don't see how homos are lacking the rights to marry. They have the right just like everyone else. A gay guy could marry a woman and a lesbian could marry a man. They just choose to be the way they are. Why? I don't know. That's why I think they're just attention seekers and they seem pretty intolerant of religious and conservative people. A man being married to a man and woman being married to a woman is very bizarre, strange and abnormal.

You seem pretty intolerant of conservatives and religious people yourself by the way you refer to areas in northern Florida as having "religious borne ignorance". At least they know it's not right for two people of the same gender to be together and for them to act and dress like their opposite genders. I don't know about you, but that's also not okay.
