Imagine if the US and UK never overthrew a sovereign Iran in the 50s. The Iranian Revolution and take over by conservative Islam, with its anti-Western view, would have never occurred, the Iranian hostage crisis wouldn't have happened, there would have never been an Iran-Iraq war, the Gulf War would have never happened, and the quagmire we are in now over 911 would have never happened either. Amazing how one mistake over greed for oil has cost us so dearly.

I agree there would have been no Iranian Revolution, no Hezbollah, and no Shia terrorism.
However there'd still be Saudi Arabian backed Wahhabism which is responsible for a considerable amount of death and destruction (including 9/11).

Only we in the west hang our heads low because of our past wrong doings. We live in a world of violent animals and we are quite benevolent in comparison to many other countries

But those who can think, can analyze implications of decisions made in the past, consider the premise of terrorism and what fuels them. They tend to not hate history and avoid it, they make it a part of the learning process.

I agree. Most of these radical Wahhabist imams are not angry at the West for the past, they are angry with us because WE ARE NOT MUSLIM. They will not stop until the whole world is Islamized, or they are cultured into the modern world. The latter is more doable.

Muslim extremists would find something else to blame for their backwards status among the nations of the world. Western intervention is just the low hanging fruit.
