Should be interesting, if I were at home to watch at. Still at work and must go back to work...LOL. I am not stuck on Clinton but I find his story interesting.
So was this documentary more creating of the myth or did it actually address the reality of the damage he did as POTUS which we continue to suffer today?
(NAFTA/pre-emtive undeclared wars which ultimately sacrifice Christians by enabling radical Islamacists, the sale of military secrets to China, the continued influence of Goldman-Sachs in cabinet level positions, derivatives trading legalized (a la Robert Rubins), housing bubble, the continued culture of corruption via Eric Holder, etc....).

Now, why would I want to watch a program that is sure to REVISE bubba's history and legacy. I know all I need to know about the disbarred, impeached, alleged rapist and serial womanizer, adulterer and a liar under oath.
I watch it all of the time. It should be interesting.
So basically they ran it like the most successful technology company in the history of mankind. Are you complaining about that? Both of them knew what they wanted to do when they got there. Unfortunately, Hillary wanted to greatly overstep the bounds of the first lady. The price of turning a blind eye.
The frat boy reference to Bush was largely due to how he handled his people. People on the team were backed up as long as they kept their mouthes shut and didn't go against the team. That's why people like Brownie got put into roles for which they weren't qualified. How Bush handled those advising him can be argued was his biggest failure.
The Secret service would argue with you:
Exerts from a book written by a former secret service agent.
"BILL & HILLARY CLINTON: **Presidency was one giant party. Not
trustworthy --- he was nice because he wanted everyone to like him,
but to him life is just one big game and party. Everyone knows of his
sexuality.*
She is another phony. Her personality would change the instant cameras
were near. She hated with open disdain the military and Secret
Service. She was another one who felt people are there to serve her.
She was always trying to keep tabs on Bill Clinton.*
ALBERT GORE: An egotistical ass, who was once overheard by his Secret
Service detail lecturing his only son that he needed to do better in
school or he "would end up like these guys" --- pointing to the
agents.*
GEORGE W. & LAURA BUSH: The Secret Service loved him and Laura Bush.
He was also the most physically "in shape" who had a very strict
workout regimen. The Bushes made sure their entire administrative and
household staff understood to respect and be considerate of the Secret
Service. KARL ROVE was the one who was the most caring of the Secret
Service in the administration.*
*She was one of the nicest First Ladies, if not the nicest; she never
had any harsh word to say about anyone.*
Was interesting to see how Newt's big head helped Clinton in the long run. Newt thought he was President for a while after the big mid-term wins and shut down the Federal Government. That certainly helped get Clinton re-elected.
What this program made me miss was Clinton's understanding that being a moderate was the path America should take. Our current extremism continues to prove him right.
We can agree to disagree, respectfully.
IMO, Clinton was responsible. He refused to sign.
"The December 1995 shutdown, which lasted 21 days, resulted from a prolonged public battle between Republicans and then-President Clinton over balancing the budget and reforming entitlement programs. Among the Republican demands at the time were to convert Medicare to a voucher system, shift responsibility for Medicaid to states and cut education spending and government research programs" Government shutdown? Clinton budget official warns: "Don't do it again" - Political Hotsheet - CBS News
And where are we today? Aren't we STILL trying to get a balance budget? And reforming entitlement programs?
IF Clinton HAD signed, maybe we wouldn't be in the financial state we are in today.
