I don't have strong feelings on this, but I think people are being pretty disingenuous on this thread. Or perhaps deliberately obtuse.

Noooo, what I am saying is that the statement that the President called for Limbaugh's apology or that he wanted Limbaugh taken off the air is patently false.

The GOP Presidential candidates didn't seem to have a problem with Letterman, are you just as peeved at them?

I can answer that for you.

No, he's not just as peeved at them because they did not call out Rush Limbaugh. The OP is stating that since Obama called Fluke to tell her that he was sorry her character was slaughtered by Rush just for speaking to a congressional panel, that now the Obama's should never appear on any TV show where the interviewer has called people names that were derogatory.

"The hypocrisy here is breathtaking."
Sl*t-Gate Hypocrisy: First Lady to Appear On Letterman

Not sure what message Obama is okay having conveyed to his daughters here? That its okay to attack and call a woman running for public office foul, sexist names? Or that fourteen year olds are fair game? Oh well, I guess the main message for his daughters was that its not okay for 30 year old liberal activist women to be called names but most others are fair game.
So EVERYONE who ever appears on Rush's show supports 3 day X-rated rants against women for expressing their opinion?

OK. Glad you agree......

A strictly partisan thread, hypocrites on both sides.
The video of Bush, if anyone bothered to watch, was one from when he was running for President, before the Palin comments.

Which is why I believe both parties are quite happy to maintain the 'us vs. them' atmosphere in the country. Too many people take a hard look and learn both parties suck they'll be in real trouble.
