A strictly partisan thread, hypocrites on both sides.
The video of Bush, if anyone bothered to watch, was one from when he was running for President, before the Palin comments.
Doesn't really matter, as people have known of Letterman's "indiscretions" for a long long time! And since when do even the righties care so much about Sarah Palin, the same woman YOU all made fun of - along with pretty much every comedian, political commentator, television show (hello SNL), etc? Oh, that's right... you guys don't really care about her, and this is merely an attempt to take the heat off of King Rush.
P.S. I don't recall your political leanings specifically, so the "yous" are generally speaking (to Republicans).
WTH does President Obama have to do with any of Palin's kids???
He made a point to speak as the president admonishing Rush and apologizing to the woman Rush insulted, on behalf of his daughters and concern for their sensibilities. He addressed the country as the president regarding this. Why does he only show concern for his own daughters? As the president, shouldn't he show concern for all the children; even those born of a different political persuasion woman? Why doesn't he admonish Letterman and apologize to Palin for the way Letterman berated her and her daughter? Instead, the First Lady will grace the Letterman show with her presence and Obama has accepted a large donation from another foul-mouthed, woman berater, Maher. The hypocrisy shouts out at us; although most of the left predictably puts their earplugs in.

You mean, the same way the right puts in earplugs whenever Rush or one of the FOX News "reporters" trashes a liberal? You guys don't actually care about respecting women or people in general, you only care about making the Obamas look bad - face it.
So everyone on this thread would be okay with Letterman joking about A-rod "knocking up" Malia right? She'll be 14 in a few months, same age as Willow when Letterman made his "joke" about her. The point the OP is making is that if the President is so outraged about a 30 year old called a ****, shouldn't he be similarly outraged about a joke about statutory rape of a child, esp. since he claimed his outrage was partially due to his daughters?
I don't have strong feelings on this, but I think people are being pretty disingenuous on this thread. Or perhaps deliberately obtuse.
Is Malia's mother strutting her around on international venues? Hmmmmm.
I don't think so.
Wasn't Palin's underaged daughter pregnant.
Didn't she and her boyfriend have sex in her parents house?

Wonder how much Michelle will be getting paid to make an appearance on the TV show of a man who publicly attacked Ms. Palin and her 14 year old daughter with horrible names & accusations?
Wow, this is the most patently absurd paragraph in this thread (okay, maybe not, but it is absurd).
You don't think you'd be interested in the welfare of your own children?
What does Palin's daughter have to do with anything.
You keep changing the goal posts.
If you didn't provide so many head shaking humorous moments, I'd quit reading you.

Somewhere along the line you've confused his apology with a State of the Union address. He personally called Fluke and discussed the matter with her. He did not have a press conference and address the nation.
His apology does show concern for all children (and adults for that matter). He believes that no one should have to be assasinated in character if they plead their case to the government.
Back in September 2008, he did stand up for Bristol Palin and the smear campaign against her pregnancy after her mother preached abstinence to the nation as part of her campaign. He publicly stated that the topic should be off limits. I think he showed wonderful concern for Palin's daughter at that point.
Maybe he thought the pit bull with lipstick had it under control. Or grizzly mama or whatever fierce animal with teeth she wants to compare herself to. How long did it take her to step up and say something, about 3 nanoseconds? (as well she should have by the way)
