I guess they can't allow Sharpton to hog up all the airwaves.

Jacksons call for federal ban on
Quote:
The Jackson family — The Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., U.S. Jesse Jackson Jr. and Rainbow/PUSH Coalition spokesman Jonathan Jackson — on Saturday decried the killing of Florida teen Trayvon Martin and called for an end to “Stand Your Ground” state laws that allow citizens who are not police officers to shoot others whom they deem a threat.

Jonathan Jackson choked up and struggled to hold back tears as he told those in attendance at Rainbow/PUSH Coalition headquarters on the South Side of the similarities he sees between 17-year-old Trayvon — who was shot to death on Feb. 26 in Sanford, Fla., by a neighborhood watch volunteer — and his own two sons, ages 10 and 14, as well as himself when he was Trayvon’s age. He said he tells his sons not to go outside wearing a hooded sweatshirt, which Trayvon was wearing when he was killed, “but even if they go behind my back, and wear a hoodie, a long shirt and baggy pants, they do not deserve to be killed!”

Why is this not a surprise?

Jesse Jackson has NEVER been one to let an opportunity to be in the news, go to waste.

I call for a Federal Ban on Jesse Jackson's entire family tree.

Wasn't their already a show made why this kind of thing is a bad idea?

Oh yeah, South Park...where Jimbo screams "IT'S COMING RIGHT FOR ME" before shooting everything that moves.

It's already happened where it was deemed "threatening" to be black and wearing a hoodie in the rain in the wrong neighborhood.

I'm all for self defense, but you don't get a blanket pass for just "feeling" threatened.

Note to all "would be" thugs. If you jump someone with a CCW permit, you may be shot.

Your entire post is a fallacy. The eye witness who saw it all tells a different story than the narrative you're parroting.

Additionally, police reports say that Zimmerman was headed back to his SUV when he was attacked.

That doesn't quite sit well with the narrative that you've apparently bought into, does it?

Wouldn't this suggest, that it Jackson is taking issue with the law itself, rather than Zimmermans actions, that he knows, under current laws, Zimmerman is innocent?!

Not retreating does not mean you get a pass to hunt down an unarmed man. The person that pulled the trigger is responsible for the death and from what I have heard about this case does not have sufficient reason for the shooting. IMHO criminal charges are appropriate.

Martin jumped Zimmerman while he was returning to his truck. Who hunted who again? Sounds like Martin does not like hispanics.
