The law that preceded stand your ground would still have protected the shooter in this case....

I don't know about the stand your ground laws, but the man walking in his community in Charlotte that was killed by the boy who robbed him could certainly have used it if he had a gun on him. Stop trying to make it easier for the criminals. We have all become prisoners in our own homes at night. There are not enough police to stop all the meaness.

I would like to see all those marching on Sanford use the time and money it takes to do this to help the children in their own neighborhoods by starting sports leagues, etc. One wonders where all these people were when the policemen in our country were being killed. Guess they don't matter.

That totally goes against ALL the other witnesses.

Funny that this particular 'witness' took a month to show up...

whenever blacks have any issue, it
seems like america likes to twist it
upside down instead of showing
some understanding.

This month old issue was not questioned until now and the defense started looking for witnesses.

Doesnt even really matter what the dispatcher said. The rules and protocol were made clear to Zimmerman when he volunteered to take on the role of Neighborhood Watch.

What evidence do you have to show it "took a month to show up?" Just because you're just now hearing it doesn't mean it wasn't a known fact to police early on.

What evidence do you have to show that the media didn't purposely ignore this small tidbit?

So, the police (a month ago) knew about this one witness who said Martin attacked zimmerman. They also knew about the five or six people who said zimmerman was on top of Martin.

I guess they just decided to believe what they wanted to believe...

As for your second comment...obviously the 'media' did not ignore this particular witness, or we might never even know about him. The police just released the information...that's why we are hearing about it now, SUPPOSEDLY. It would be great to see the actual written police report and investigation...see if there was any mention of this one lone witness who saw things so differently from the others.

I love how the people who kept saying 'we don't have all the facts' so no one should be on one side or another (while subtly defending zimmerman) now are jumping onto this one lone witness' testimony as if it's gospel...
