The burglary of Olivia Bertalan’s home was just one of at least eight reported over the previous 14 months—several of which, neighbors said, involved young black men.
So, maybe three by blacks, according to neighbor's reports, not the police reports?
The next day officers responding to a call confronted three black men and one white man on bikes near the neighborhood. The same witnesses identified one of the men as the same man they saw near the burglarized home.
No identification of this person's race.

First of all, misleading headline! The NW captain was Zimmerman. So should it be "Zimmerman defends himself"?
Secondly, here's a quote with the same statistic:

Go ahead and defend him, Oliver has been proved to not know him well on national television by at least two different reporters, so what that his family has blacks in it! That does not mean that he likes them either.
You sound like that white guys that always proclaims that he has a "black friend" whenever a question comes up about racism. Martin's suspension was for an empty bag that had traces off marijuana, not actual possesion which is a crime. Zimmerman has been arrested for assault on a police officer as well has been noted by others for aggressive behavior on many occasions

I watched the ABC interview with the black Zimmerman friend and although the interviewer was totally hostile to both the friend and lawyer (not exactly what I look for in unbiased news reporting) neither was shown to not know him well. I am not defending Zimmerman, just want to wait until full story comes out, not rushing to judgement as you appear to want to do. Do you also condone publishing the Zimmerman parents address as well as totally unrelated elderly couple to say nothing of issuing a bounty? You also admit what I said about the suspension -- I never said anything about criminal charges.
If young WHITE males had been doing the break ins, then yes, they would look suspicious. I don't know why you can't get this through your head.
I was stopped 20 times in about a year in my teens. One time they were looking for burglars and pulled us over with upwards of 10 or more cars. Another time I was picked up walking on a curfew violation. Where could I pick up this "white free pass" card because I didn't get one.

They seemily "attacked him" because he was lying they knew it and so did everyone else. Did you know that his "friend" was a tv anchorman? (Proably auditioning for a tv spot). Actually I would like to see him behind bars until this is throughly investigated, like anyone else accused of a similiar crime. No, I do not condon such behavior and I beleive that it was uncalled for. We as blacks in this country have no more accountablity for the NBPP than whites have for the neo-nazis or the klan. Do you mean regarding the racial profiling?
They kept his gun. I think you should stick with zimmerman was looking for black males. Facts don't seem to be your strong suit.

Fact: zimmerman was told not to pursue Trayvon Martin......he did anyway
Fact: zimmerman used a racial slur in describing Trayvon Martin
Fact: The neighborhood watch regulations clearly state that you should not carry a weapon nor follow anyone that you suspect is doing a crime...he did anyway
Fact: zimmerman claimed that his nose was broken, but yet there is no evidence of that ever happening
Fact: zimmerman admitted to killing a young man but was released on his word alone
Fact: the lead investigator felt that he had reason enough to hold zimmerman but was over ruled by the DA
Fact: zimmerman is free and not even on bond while a youngman is dead
You seem to be stuck on the photos. It seems irrelevant to me. It's still a boy, it's still somebody's son and the photos that are, in fact, the ones of Trayvon Martin do not seem to prove anything relevant to his death. He's also at the disadvantage of not being able to tell his side of the story.
Of course I am stuck on the photos because it something I can accurately address. I can't put Zimmerman on trial in my position. I can put the media on trial because I have a lot of evidence.
You simply are unable to break a problem down into its elements and want to go into some emotionally laced narrative with your own mythologies.
For the last time that 12 year old boy could not overpower Zimmerman. That 17 year old boy could. Its misleading and it backfired.
