I suggest that you throw her a milk bone to chew on for awhile to divide her attention so I won't have to experience the frustration that stems from reading her posts.

The sun is a major factor in the aging of the skin, which is what calipoppy clearly referenced. The more melanin in your skin, meaning the darker your skin, the more protection you have from the daily damaging effects of the sun.

Actually, she claimed that women of color aged better than other races of women and she said nothing whatsoever about damaging affects of the sun. She also took a shot at white women in particular and said something stupid about botox.

Simple empirical observations.

Nope.

Melanin is what protects the skin from the sun. The more melanin one has, meaning the darker one's skin, the more protection from the sun.

And she was also responding to a poster who clearly referenced appearance, not overall aging:

Pure, plain and simple it's a fallacy used to support the concept of white supremacy.

You can't have white supremacy if there is significant amount of people of multiple racial or ethnic backgrounds. That's what scares the hell out people that are so adamantly against mixed raced relationships between men and women.

Benefits of Melanin in the Skin | eHow.com

From the NYTimes article:

“Darker skin tends to show aging changes less obviously,” Dr. Few said. “The biggest reason probably has to do with the skin being able to shield itself from the harmful effects of the sun.”

He and other doctors said darker skin also tended to be oilier and somewhat thicker than pale skin; this makes it more supple and less prone to wrinkles. Blacks and Asians have still another advantage, Dr. Few said: they start out with fuller cheeks than do whites, so the fat loss that comes with middle age is less noticeable, and the face remains younger looking. But the outer corners of the eyes tend to droop more with age in blacks than in whites, he said.

The reason that white women that date non-white men are so despised by some white men is that you can't have white supremacy if white women are dating, marrying and having children with non-White men.

Why do you think that it was illegal for long in this country for people of different races marry?

Well, when so many of them are 300-500 lbs, they are not looking too hot at any age.

Nothing personal, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have zero attraction to black and asian women.....to each their own.
