I agree, I dont really care if illegals are here, as long as they can pay their way completely, have their kids in the country they came from, and can pay their way without having the taxpayers pay for them.

As a Constitutional Conservative which appears to be the libertarian leaning side of the GOP abhorred by Rick Santorum I do not agree with the "sanctuary city/state policies".

It is within the Constitutional powers of the federal government to set immigration laws. Those need to be adhered to and enforced until such a time as the laws can be changed. Sanctuary policies by cities and states fly in the face of the federal laws every bit as does the federal government's choice to pick and choose which immigration laws it is willing to enforce.
Well, there are Libertarians and then there are Constitutionalists, but there is a lot of overlap. True libertarians are for maximum freedom for all law abiding individuals. The Libertarian Party platform says this:

Quote:
3.4 Free Trade and Migration

We support the removal of governmental impediments to free trade. Political freedom and escape
from tyranny demand that individuals not be unreasonably constrained by government in the
crossing of political boundaries. Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human
as well as financial capital across national borders. However, we support control over the entry into
our country of foreign nationals who pose a credible threat to security, health or property.
Keeping in mind that this only works when all the other principles in the platform are in effect. Here is the Link to the Libertarian Party platform.
