Those who know me know that I am a strong advocate of the 1st Amendment and frequently call out Christians imposing their morals on gays, atheists, minorities etc. The same way I am also displeased when Christians' freedom of speech is threatened. Every group should be able to practice their faith without imposing it on others. In this case, it was a conscious decision by a private entity to cater to a bigger market, but still it's sad that they had to destroy a traditional symbol to do so.

Europeans are pretty much screwed. Their culture is on a fast-track decline because of their own low birthrates, open immigration policies and because they are too chicken to criticize Islam for fear of internal backlash. It is perhaps payback for their years of colonizing 3rd world countries. America will be next. This is not to say that we should start imposing Santorum-law starting tomorrow. Value the Constitution and make sure that others value it. No groups should be given special rights and no groups be oppressed either.
That's because in the EU, it's illegal to criticize Islam. The Islamists use the loosely defined human rights laws to criminally charge people for "hate speech"

You're from Denmark. I know you know. The human rights laws, especially in countries in northern Europe, are broad to imply that any speech criticizing Islam, in this example, is hate speech and is criminally liable for it. And I don't know if this is an EU directive or specific in some countries, but hate speech is broadly defined here and is a criminal offense

Well, atheists (or the ACLU) made the City of Los Angeles change its seal/logo, removing crosses (which reflect the city's roots as a Mission) as well.

In an ideal world but we are far from ideal, greed and fear, two most leathal cocktails in the human psyche that leads to chaos.

City Of Los Angeles Seal Cross | Facing Suit, County to Remove Seal's Cross - Los Angeles Times
Very interesting read. Thanks. It seems to me that the whole thing is an outstanding example of what multiculturalism has done to us.

The large influx of illegal aliens, most of them Catholic, seems to not have influenced the thinking of the ACLU, though. I sure never have studied that logo to see what all is on it. I guess some people really do care and crosses are too Christian seeming, I guess.

The team is removing the "offensive" crosses in order to sell more tickets in the Muslim country. Selling tickets makes the team owners happy. Is not making private sector owners happy what the RW is all about.?

One I am not a Christian or indeed a member of any religion and secondly I live in a very free country.

As for the facts, go and google them you will see they are all correct - Real Madrid have only removed the cross in relation to it's UAE Resort.

As for the Temper Tantrum I think that more aptly decribes you than me, as I am as cool as the poverbial cucumber.
