This was no joke. The person who threw glitter at Romney was truly charged with firing a missile at him. Read the link. Trumped charges because Romney is privileged.
How would you feel about someone glitter bombing Obama at a rally? you don't think that person would see some trumped up charges?
So he did something stupid and now he's upset about the consequences of his actions? That's pretty gay.
Where do you find he was upset about the consequences. However, charges should reflect what happened and not be erroneously trumped just because someone is a privileged person.
Cheney did the same thing.

Howards had a moment of hesitation, but then he approached Cheney, who had several Secret Service agents nearby, and calmly told him: "Your policies in Iraq are reprehensible." This was soon after the media had reported the 2,500th U.S. troop death in the war in Iraq.

According to Howards, Reichle said he would be charged with assaulting the vice president. Howards was formally charged with "harassment," a misdemeanor that carries up to a one-year jail sentence. He was held in jail for three hours and released after posting a $500 bond. The charges were eventually dropped. Howards is now suing the arresting agent.

He said it himself in the video in the link you posted.
Where in the video was the confetti THROWN at him? Would aiming a fireworks rocket at Obama's head be equal to having fireworks shot into the sky over his head?
