ASSinine post, in the extreme. He went toe to toe with Hitler and won, When touring "the front' he outpaced his entourage who could barely keep up. Once again, your hatred of all that is good, is on full display. Next, you'll be singing the praises of 'dolf.
No, he's absolutely right. Churchill was a great man, the right man in the right place at the right time, but he was NOT a saint or without his problems and detractors. He really wasn't all that popular in GB until WWII and even then, he had political enemies. Lot's of them.

Western Civilization owes him a lot. There are always detractors etc., when you are striving for good, but he did the job on many levels.
Four posts equals four self deluded fools. Crony Capitalism only works for the Capitalist Cronies. the rest of us work to create the wealth they steal.
FWID Churchill was a drunk Tory fool.
Crony Capitalism happens when the government gets it's nose in where it doesn't belong like with GM and gives something to people that didn't earn it.
Or when Obama has the government buying GM green cars to make GM look artificially profitable, that is crony Capitalism.
Do you rely on social security or medicare by any chance? The VA? Those are all socialist programs. I take it you're advocating getting rid of those.
Absolutely!!!
Phase them out. For those who already paid in, get them paid out and shut it down.

Depends, some are such, I see it all the time regardless of the side a person leans.
That said, using SS and Medicare is a poor example as people have paid a lot of money into them, so naturally someone is going to be angry about shutting it down UNLESS they are paid back what they paid in.
That is the pea being moved around in the argument. People want the system stopped and they want their money paid back to them. Saying that you will stop it and not pay it back is nothing more than a scare tactic to keep people supporting it, because at the end of the day, it is better to eventually have access to it than have nothing at all (lose all that money you paid in).
Put it up to the people to gain ALL of their money they paid into those systems back and then have it shut down and you will see a large amount of people in favor of such. That however would be too honest of a point and socialist know nothing about honest discussion because they have to lie and twist the truth to sell their snake oil.
when u have lived like a fool not taken advantage of what those b4 u suffering and died to provide and then when u got nothing say, lets share--- u r not going to get the respect u crave.
Small things that American citizens seem to forget..........
"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.."
-- Winston Churchill
These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read (Unfortunately, most American voters don't know this):
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, By legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, Another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them;
And when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, Because somebody else is going to get what they work for,
that is the beginning of the end of any nation.
I say: joyfully help those who can't make it on their own, and enjoy what you do because you like it and believe in it, not because of how rich you can become off it.
Denmark has the lowest poverty rate in the world and the smallest income disparity between rich and poor. Its citizens’ living standards and purchasing power are among the world’s highest. Every Dane is entitled to free health care, job training, child care, a college education and elder care. Its unemployment rates have been among the world’s lowest, as low as 2 percent —
It is all VAT tax. They have no minimum wage and they have no income based tax. The more luxury the item, the more tax is placed on it.
People move from job to job frequently and are able to collect 4 years of unemployment(that barely will feed you, so you will go work)
They live in family units, with many generations in small homes. There is not much independence and freedom. Everything has a rule or regulation, including eating, drinking, sleeping, crapping and pissing.
They practice the Austrian form of economics, not Keynesian running debts.
They are not penalized for working. They pay the price for luxury.
The slimy underbelly of socialism is that while it denounces the "greed" of capitalism and espouses "fairness", it is fueled by envy of those who have done well in life.

Speaking of deluded fools...... How long have you been fixated on the term "crony" - I suspect since Obama started "leading" by example in the area of "crony capitalism" with emphasis on crony.
As far as Churchill, history shows who is the deluded fool. You just hate him because he defeated Adolf, was a Conservative and made the world a better place.
