I doubt it would be Superman, well maybe Bizaro Superman. Batman did have relationships with women in the books but none ever lasted so that's a posibility. Aquaman is out. He's married with children. Wonder Woman would be a valid contender. Martian Manhunter being gay would add new light to his name. He had been married with children on his home world but maybe he was just hiding. Green Arrow always had flair with his fancy mustach and beard. The Flash was a funny jokester, maybe we never knew how funny? The Kyle Raynor Green Lantern is another possibility. The original Robin is now called Nightwing and has had a relationship with an alien. Maybe the new Robin will come out as gay. Red Tornado is an android so he's out. Trying to appeal to the gay community means they aren't likely to make a villan their gay character. There are many villains who could potentially be switch to gay since so much of their private lives are not as well explored as the heros. Marvel comics has had some minor heros come out as gay. Unlike DC, Marvel has been more willing to hit the edgy subjects.

Just checked online and DC has already had gay heros. The new Batwoman is lesbian and they had other very minor heros who came out. This would be the first major established character to become gay.

Go ahead make Superman gay. See what happens to the money made off him. A gay Superman movie would probably fail as well. No matter how much gays are accepted, how many people actually want to see him kissing another dude? Not many that's for sure

I doubt they'll have another lesbian, since the Batwoman run already features a lesbian as the title character.

If anything, they're going to come out with Tim Drake (the third Robin) as gay, which everyone will subsequently say "No duh.", as it's something that they've been hinting at ever since he became Red Robin and passed the Robin laurels to one of the girl Robins.

I don't know about Superman, but He-Man is definitely gay.

I have a feeling it's Tim Drake as well.

Though, did you see the cover the for next Astonishing X-Men volume? Northstar is (finally) marrying Kyle.

Read about that yesterday.

And people are complaining about 'FOMG PR MOVE PANDERING ETC ETC" even though both characters have been gay since the 90s.

Comics have always been topical. Just look at the entire Marvel civil war story line.....

I personally feel that the whole gay thing is just being topical instead of pandering.

They've touched on everything from spousal abuse, molesters, various phobias, mental illness and so on and so forth.
