Colorado Springs is a military town, except for the college there. I've heard parts of CO are rednecky, but Denver and a lot of the really small towns and resort towns are nice. Boulder seems like the opposite extreme, like a throwback to the 60's, from what I've heard.

Yes, the Springs suck. A lot of libertarians and military people. Libertarians are ruder than the baptist conservatives that we have here. Baptists are usually nice until you see them later at the bar after they get hammered, but they clean up well for Sunday school the next day.

I've spent a lot of time in Boulder, Denver, and Ft. Collins; and I've spent a little time in CoS and Longmont. Colorado's just not my thing.

Well there you go. To each his own. I wish you the best wherever you end up.

Trying to be good when everyone around you is wicked is an invitation for trouble.
All you can do is be responsible for your actions. When others actions or inactions make you do something else then they have won.

You were acting like a gentleman, being kind and considerate. Just because some take advantage of that, or don't appreciate it, doesn't mean you should change your ways. That's on them. Don't make their problems yours.
You set a good example, stay with it.

That movie looks funnier than hell. Thanks for the heads up.
