I've noticed that TCM doesn't do the logo, which is nice. They do have it but it's not on constantly. They put it up for like a minute or so during each movie
Also in those days there wasn't a constant logo in the lower right corner. And no popups telling you what's coming on next or even worse what you're watching now
The logo I don't mind. I can't stand the damn pop ups though.
There is ironic truth to this. With less channels there were more interesting and diverse programming. I was glued to the TV every day for hours. TV was free back then.
But now with 100+ cable channels there's hardly anything good to watch anymore and I'm paying money for it.
I don't understand how this happened.
Let me give it a shot. You got old and contracted "everything was better when I was young" syndrome.
I can r emmebr gettig only one chnannel as a kid and it was by anteena with statio 89 miles away. The antenna had a crankup same as boat trailer whech. It alos at first was turnable by hand and later electricly turned because of dirctional antenna. It alos was not on all day and even shows started at 8pm. Of course the people relied o newspaper for new actaully. Even the the newpapers were either democratic or republican. alot of newpapers actually used party identification in the name.
