First, I don't want anyone to come into this thread, simply to bash the republicans or democrates, I mean it...because that concept is a none working stale mate which is simply put...stupid on anyone's part if they believe that they're party isn't just as corrupt as the other side...so go start your own thread for such stupidity...

I want to learn, and hear how we can Fix America...I want some knowledge here as to what you think...lets disect each problem...and what we would do to fix it? I want to know if there are people out there who are not afraid to speak up, b/c bullies might come into this thread and make a fool out of them? So what? It's time we smarten up and speak out...ignore those who bully and try to embarrass the other side, b/c literally, they speak for themselves when it comes to intellect don't they?

When in the world are Americans going to stop defending they're corrupt parties? Every four to eight years, we bounce back and forth and back and forth, and buy into they're promises that do not come into fruition and lies...

Don't you think or believe, any candidate who is running for President would talk about the real issues of this instead of gay marriage, and women's rights??????????

I mean seriously....
think about it....why aren't they talking about our systems that are failing? all of them? Why aren't they talking about what they're plans are for helping this country create jobs once again, and, can a President really create jobs, when in fact it's the Corporations that are taking our jobs over seas?????? I mean, what is wrong with this picture? And Obama claims, he's created jobs and things are getting better? Yet, Romney, all he does is attack Obama and never touches base on the real issues of this country. OK, Romney, your running for President, what do you intend to do about all the illegals in this country draining our systems?????????? What are you going to do about our failing infostructure, which if addressed and we started to fix infostructure it would create jobs. I swear, all they do, is go for the throat, and the Americans are not seeing this...how utterly stupid we've become that we can't see how Washington and Politicians have literally ruined our county, and we're very close to becoming a 3rd world country? When are all of you going to stop fighting and blaming each other and wake up...BOTH SIDES ARE CORRUPT AND THE PROBLEMS THAT FACE US ARE HORRENDOUS!!!! THE DECISSIONS THEY'VE BEEN MAKING ARE NOT IN OUR FAVOR, AND YET, THEY TELL US, we need to have our taxes raised, then why oh why do they keep spending? When is it going to stop...for instance, the first thing I would do, in these hard times, is if I were elected, I'd not have the presidential inaugural ball!!!!
That is ridiculous...who pays for all the hollywood stars to come to the White House and Entertain?

Lets talk about what the President and Washington should do...
I don't want anyone in this thread who is going to bash the other side, I want intelligent posts from people who have the intelligence to see what's going on in politics...I want suggestions as to what you would do, if you were President....what do you see going on and how can we fix welfare, insurance companies, prices, what can we do about gas/oil, our military, education, what can we do to make America strong again...to help educate American's so that we never regress to this level again? To keep america free and not a socialist nation...what can we do about all the crime in America? How can we educate those who live in poverty, so they don't pull America down by living on welfare? How can we bring jobs back to America, so we can make better products?

Do any of you have any ideas...

Lets together fix America....this thread is open to all topics on how to fix America

Lets do it....

Ron Paul for president in 2012 would be a good start.

yes, but it's a mute point...no one is going to vote for him...
Please, write down what you think he would do to fix American's dilemas?
What should be the President's job...
for me, number one would be to clean up Washington, and I mean, start firing people who do not perform they're jobs, and I mean fire them, no severance package for life...actually start penilizing people again for not doing they're jobs correctly, and put a limit on terms in Congress...period....

also, I'm ashamed of anyone who runs for the President and bashes his running mate, I'm sick to death of it, sick to death of those embarrasing commercials they pay for on TV...Good God, I want to hear what they plan to do....and feel secure that the person who is running for President, is going to intelligently address all the problems at hand, which doesn't inclue, women's rights, or gays....voting for a President on those two issues, is certainly unintelligent....but the candidates prey on the sympathies of those special interest groups...geeze lousie...when are American's going to get sick of it and down to business of fixing this country.

It would be time for Americans to come together if there's ever been a time to come together.

For one, we have a horrendous problem of American poverty -- but the politicians are afraid to ever propose any limits to very massive especially illegal immigration. They'd rather make promises to the fast growing immigrants than worry about the problems of joblessness and lack of opportunity of Americans.

We need to put Americans first -- and that should be apart from race or stereotypes about work ethic. Americans need jobs, and the politicians will not face that issue.

ok, then what, do you really think Romney is a good candidate? Really?

I don't...and I'm a strict conservative....

Do you know what I believe, Washington is simply a farce a movie made up to make us think they are working for us...but they don't...and they don't care, and the entitlement that they display is dispicable...utterly shameful!!! I believe this country is run by rich CEO's and Corporations of the World is what I think, if not, then why aren't they fixing anything?

Clinton is even bashing Obama...Obama is just not seasoned enough to be President, we are much more in debt now then we were when Bush left, and Bush didn't do anything for this country either, he's a rich oil man is all he is....

Get rid of all the Lobbyist. Start working for the good of the people instead of the good of the major companies.. wait.. forgot... Corporations are people too. If so... should a hostile takeover be considered murder or kidnapping or something?

Ain't gonna happen. Americans are asleep at the wheel and the car is on cruise control.
They won't wake up until there is a crash and by then it will be too late.

Your best bet is to learn to adjust and adapt to a changing society because I don't think there is any "going back".

I agree with this, I feel nothing short of a revolution will save this country and that's not going to happen.

The people in this country are too divided. I would just live my life to it's best and not worry.
