When I say Moderate Republican, I mean right of center and not far right of center. You could have a debate all day as to what conservative means.

You need to define "moderate", then. Afoi and I many times mirror each other, and I know you and I have participated in other discussions.

Raising taxes on anyone during an economic downturn, especially people like small business owners and investors (and - let's not forget - if Obama got the "Buffet Rule" he wants, it would not be continuing a tax break, but would instead be a new tax) is a bad idea - even Bill Clinton apparently thinks so.
Privatize social security means handing it over to the Wall Street conglomerates that already trashed my 401ks..

NO.

Romney doesnt seem very moderate. Compared to todays GOP, Ronald Reagan looks like a pussycat I wish I had as my grandfather. Also, the GOP has not learned a most important lesson, its war on women has long-term effects.

I honestly don't remember the discussions, but if you say you are a moderate then probably most would agree, including me. In my experience, most people on the far right will say they are on the far right. They tend to call Moderates Rinos. If you have ever called someone a Rino, you may not be a moderate.

Well you have to remember that Romney just got through the primaries. He had to paint himself as a right wing conservative to get the nomination. His past history suggest moderate, and with Romney as with most politicians you can't go by what they say but what they do.

well here we go

Abortion: don't care one way or the other. But please don't insult me bye telling me its not a living thing

Gay marriage: I want the gov out of the marriage business. Everything should be a civil union contract. Leave the religous ceremony to the church. But you can not make a church marry people they don't want to.

Taxes. Federal taxes should be 5% of wages to pay for the defense of this country. State taxes should be more and the power should be at the state level. Everyone should pay something to have skin in the game.

Stop all corporate welfare. The taxpayers should not be building ball parks and stadiums for rich people. Hollywood should not be getting tax credits to do business in certain states. What a scam.

Welfare: Should be a very limited time that this is for. Its to help people not for them to live off us.

Union: private yes......public NO Lets see the public union gives money to the very same people they are negociating with. LOL yeah that sounds fair. Private unions we can choose to buy ther poducts.....thats why I drive a VW Jetta

anymore topics you want me to clear up

Church: only for weddings and funerals otherwise I would rather be fishing or watching fooball

Well, I have. And he was. The next month he switched parties. Which was a big reason he was defeated for re-election the next year, his constituents (I was not one) felt betrayed.
