I agree that he with the most money wins. A sad truth. Quite frankly Congress needs term limits and the corruption is beyind discouraging.
Ideologues, and the issues the far right chooses to espouse and harp on are counter-productive to our economy at this stage in the game, there is too much at stake , the economy is broken, and quite honestly I am sick of about the far rights anti- woman legislation (in Georgia for example). These are personal private matters, states and parties need to stay out of it.
The problem with term limits is the learning curve for new legislators. Impose term limits and you will turn over the operation of the government even more to unelected bureaucrats and lobbyists. That's a problem now with most legislators at all levels, down to locals, not reading let alone understanding what they're passing and depending on briefings or explanations from staff or other interested parties. Then a year down the road everyone looks at each other and says "How the Hell did this happen?".

States can still impose them foe State offices and local politics is where the rubber really meets the road.
Going national again, take MD's 5th. Steny Hoyer is the long time incumbent (the District has moved southward over the years for various reasons, some racial) and has convinced the electorate that if he isn't in Congress that NAS PAX will close. That's sure to tighten/loosen the sphincter of every local elected official here because PAX is a major jobs driver. That's an example where local and national intertwine.
I think by in large you are a moderate with the exception of taxes, which of course is the biggest issue.
I just believe in people keeping as much money as possible. I know the fed gov is a huge blackhole for our taxmoney. Thats what I will never understand of why people think that the gov will use that money to good and not thier friends.

The Twenty-Second amendment set the term limits for Presidents, which is what you would need to term limit congress.
I can only think of one. It is ironic because I can't recall a right wing conservative president ever having been elected.
Romney is certainly a moderate Republican although he tried to paint himself as a conservative in the primaries. Now, he is switching back to the center.
What is ironic is there really is not a whole lot of separation in ideology between Obama and Romney. I don't see a lot of change no matter who wins.

See this is why people think I am far right. Because this is the dumbest post to say Obama is a conserve. He has spent and spent and spent like crazy.
