Republican's had a chance to nominate a traditional conservative who would have likely given Obama a real contest. But, John Hunstman was neither charismatic enough nor willing to dial the crazy up to 11 during the debates.

I think regardless of who the nominee was a shift to healthcare wouldn't favor a Republican candidate.

The fact is that there aren't a lot of Republican plans about healthcare.

The only plans they seem to have are allowing people to buy out of state insurance and forming state insurance exchanges. Simply put healthcare is in a way a more complicated issue than the economy in that there is no easy way to decrease costs. With the economy you can take the typical left right view of stimulus vs tax cuts.

It's that exact same nonsense that you're talkin' that will get us 4 more years of Obama.

I'd pick Santorum over Romney. I'd pick Gingrich over Romney. I'd GLADLY pick Ron Paul over Romney. Hell I'd even pick Rick Perry over Romney. But I'm stuck with Romney so I am sucking it up and hoping that he isn't as bad as I think he is going to be.

Huntsman was anything but a traditional conservative.

He supported:

Gay marriage
Global Warming
Jon Huntsman Jr. served as President Obama's Ambassador to China from August 2009 through April 2011.

Competition always lowers costs! Obamacare has now increased everyone's costs across the board! Just wait until 2014 kicks in!
