So he wasn't donating to sperm banks, just an "independent sperm donor" spreading his seed which required the donation be made one-on-one and didn't get paid in cash for his "services"? I hope he has written contracts outlining the terms and conditions of his "donations" in case he ever gets sued.

Men may seek power, but women wield more power still. Men think that they run everything; but behind every great man there is a greater woman. The emperor Augustus ruled the world, but Livia Drusilla ruled Augustus. (Even mighty Tiberius fled Rome to escape the argus eyes of his all-powerful mother.) Women are wise enough to let men think themselves in charge; but even so, a woman will only put up with a man so long as he does not get in her way - as great Augustus found out in the end.

Like I said, he has ways around these things. Put it simply, he secures his anonymity for every donation. He doesn't trust the contracts since they can and do get breached on occasion. I'll just leave it at that since I don't want to condone any activity that isn't entirely legal. Smart guy.

Sounds like you're saying that women are weasels who hide behind their intentions and live out lies. That's not what you're saying about your fellow sisters, is it?

Yup, when women weren't considered equal to men they were smart enough to find ways around the sexism.....they survived , and thrived, under much harsher conditions than men.

What I'm saying - to put it the more simply - is that it would be a great mistake to underestimate or undervalue women, as did our so-called "founding fathers."

I applaud this young women for addressing this issue....

Forget Tosh -- The Outrage Isn't the Joke, It's the Laughter

The problem with rape jokes isn't who tells them. Or who objects to them. The outrage is the sheer number of people who think that stories about degrading and violating women, the more violently the better, is laugh-out-loud entertaining.

Here's the interesting thing about America 1840: Men praised women to the skies. Men respected women. Men adored women and marveled at women. American men loved their women. And women were happy.

Today?

The only people who are praising, adoring, and marveling at women today are women themselves.

Today's men compete with women, "have sex" with women, display their women, but otherwise avoid women and especially avoid getting married to them. And women are miserable.

You have a fantasy idea of life in 1840. Women who were beaten by their husbands, cheated on by their husbands, stolen from by their husbands, weren't happy. Women didn't march for the vote and for the right to own property because they thought a world where men controlled them was so terrific.

And if women themselves are pleased with women today, that should tell you something.

I personally don't want to be some man's housekeeper, cook and laundress while he gets to go out and conquer the world. And when that's what a man wants from a woman, that's a far cry from respect.
