So while you dedicate your life to enjoying watching reasoned, intelligent people be offended, others are trying to figure out a way to PAY for your liberal flights of fancy.

Only conservatives should be in charge of the purse strings.

Progressives need adult supervision.
Then explain why the USA economy always fared worse under Republicans.

Another Inconvenient Truth: The U.S. Economy Always Does Significantly Better Under Democrats

Republicans have always extolled the virtue of fiscal conservatism as if it were an indisputable law of nature. But in this case, a different law applies. That's Steven Colbert's famous law of political reality: "Reality Has a Well Known Liberal Bias." It turns our that for at least the last 60 years the economy has always done significantly better under Democrats. This has been a well known fact for many years, but it has received almost no recognition in the mainstream media, in spite of the media's alleged liberal bias.

Barack Hussein Obama is not a Republican:

A Comprehensive List Of Obama's Failures

Quote:
Debt Ceiling fiasco of 2011- While the liberal media has done a good job of pinning this on Republicans and the Tea Party in particular, the blame lies squarely at his feet as he refused any real plan that would cap the debt ceiling as per Moody's, Standard & Poors, etc .
Any honest research will show that the August 2011 down grade and stock market crash could have been avoided if the Obama and his dishonest colleagues such as Harry Reid had accepted "Cut Cap, & Balance"

Stimulus bill - not a jobs bill but a democratic payback bill

Refusing to prosecute the radical hate group; the Black Panthers for violations of others voting rights as well as hate crimes and inciting violence

New Black Panther Obama DOJ refused to prosecute: “I hate white people – all of them!”

Obama’s lies about the budget and constant blaming of Bush rather than taking any responsibility at all for his hand in the budget deficit and terrible economy:

For Fiscal Year 2009, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets. And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009.

If the Obama & the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the Fiscal Year 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

Obama and Attorney General Holder suing the Sate of Arizona over bill that only enforces US Federal Law (US code #1304; c, d, & f)

Obama’s ties via Eboo Patel to the radical Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the controversial Muslim leader behind the plan to build the Islamic center and mosque two blocks from Ground Zero. Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf wrote the afterward to Patel’s 2006 book entitled, “Building the Interfaith Youth Movement: Beyond Dialogue to Action.”
Eboo Patel the is religious adviser to President Obama. Obama’s adviser says, “America is the ideal place for a renewal of Islam”.

*Barack Obama’s ‘Religious’ Advisor, Eboo Patel, is closely linked to the radical imam seeking to build the Ground Zero mosque
*Obama religion adviser closely tied to ‘Ground Zero’ imam. Boasted of America as ‘ideal place for renewal of Islam’

Extreme political correctness and inability to call Islamic Extremists and the tenants of Islam which they follow for what it is;
An extreme religion of hate and intolerance:
No Mosque at Ground Zero

That is what you said. I pointed out why you were wrong. You are hijacking your own thread by turning it into another pass the buck bash Obama thread, which was most likely your objective in the first place. You made a totally inaccurate statement...I called you out. Deal with it.

Please "like" this post if you strongly believe that instead of tweeting that the World Wide Web was "for everyone..." that Tim Berners-Lee should have Rickrolled the entire viewing audience...now THAT would have been memorable!!

What reasoned, intelligent people were offended? The only person I have heard complain is you. As one poster accurately stated, this is not a political issue in the UK, they all support it. It is only political here. The world does not revolve around U.S. RWNJs.

For you to start a thread that basically is saying, "Shame on the UK!" one assumes you were more than mildly annoyed.

Wow, really? Danny Boyle did that all by himself? Do you think the British government was stunned when they watched the opening ceremonies last night and discovered that he showcased national healthcare? LOL. You probably do believe that.

NHS SOCIALIZED MEDICINE OLYMPIC PROPAGANDA - YouTube

Why do we have to inject debt-based progressiveness into something that should be about athletic achievement?

The UK ought to be ashamed of what they've done to the Olympic Movement.
What exactly is wrong with celebrating something that has been of great benefit to their citizenry?
As far as I could see, the opening ceremonies reflected on many things that have changed GB over the years, from their agrarian beginnings to the industrial revolution ,as well as contributions that have had a huge impact such as literature and so on.
The NHS is an integral part of their society and they are well within their rights to celebrate it as it has been directly responsible for improving the lives of millions of people.
Does anyone honestly believe that it would be less expensive to not provide this service?

Disqualifying the Korean swimmer for a false start Park Tae-Hwan, now that had to be political. Looks like they fixed it though.

When watching the ceremonies and the part that paid tribute to the childrens hospital i mentioned to the wife that the righties will be howling about this piece tomorrow and here we are and the righties are howling,
just hate that socialized healthcare
just hate those unionized workers
just hate the fact that taxes have to pay for the system
just hate a government that institutes such a system
Just hate the opening ceremonies
Just another topic the righties can foam at the mouth about.
