I. . . . Hated. . . . Reagan. He was no uniter. He told the people of Western PA to "vote with their feet" after the collapse of the steel industry. I had no use for the man, and I can't understand why so many idolize him.

I agree, and let's not forget, that Ronald Reagan was our first Actor President... so he understood his "role".

And folks will usually overlook a lot if you can charm 'em well enough....as experienced actors, salesmen and grifters usually do.

Reagan Inspired the nation, like none before and surely none since. Simple as that.

He did not inspire me, nor anyone in my family! Simple? Yes, he was!

People liked him because he turned the economy around. Carter was a likable sort, but a complete disaster as president. Reagan certainly had his faults, but destroying the economy with his policies wasn't one of them.

Reagan was a buffoon. His son, who knew him better than anyone on CD, said he was showing signs of Alzheimer's during his first term.

If true, then he was better than I thought! Saved the economy while suffering from Alzheimer's. Carter ruined it and was perfectly healthy.

The Reagan years were damn good years for the economy and pride in the Country. I did extremely well in the Reagan years. Sure could use some of that now.
