Awww, then it must feel awfully bad for Obama and people like you who support him. IF, he was having symptoms way back then, and still managed to unite and turn the economy around, what does it say about Obama?

Obama has good economic policies but the Republican Senate blocks them. People keep saying how Liberal Obama is yet he is not much left of center. Reagan is not the great Conservative that people think he was.

No one expects everyone to be perfect. Everyone has faults. Reagan had his, Obama has his. I dont expect perfection from Obama. What was expected was honesty, integrity, competence. He has been a very arrogant, jerk full of empty words and empty promises.

Liberals bash Reagan because he was not a liberal and succeeded. That is why they hate him, nothing more. If Obama had succeeded in really getting the economy moving, uniting the country, and living up to his bs from 2008, and many of us still despised him, then and only then could you liberals justify bashing us over our dislike and some times hate for the man. But that has not been the case. He has not only not got the economy to where it needs to be, he has been far from a uniter. But then again, I dont think he intended to unite anyone.

He does? Like what exactly? Most of what he truly wants involves spending, raising debt limit, higher taxes. How exactly are those good policies?

And why do you conveniently forget that the Democrats had the House and Senate for two years? What did they do with those two years? Stimulus that was nothing more than added debt and temporary jobs. And a health care bill most of us were against.

You mean the disgruntled rich kid spitting on his father's name? No that never happens.
His son is a doctor and qualified to make such an observation? No
Some things Reagan did do.
Increased funding for military training.
Increased funding so if we had to fight we had the best to fight with.
Increased Military pay.
Lowered interest rates. When he took office they were over 20%
Put people to work.
Crushed a strike that threatened to cripple our nation. Air traffic controllers...
Did I mention that he united a nation? Not bad for a baffoon.
Your man Obama has dived the nation. He doesn't have Alzheimers so what is his excuse?
Chevy Volt?????? Solyndra? Ethanol for jets fighters and navy ships $28.00 a gal v.s 8 for regular jet fuel? We are flat busted broke and he wastes money on that?
Reagan had his faults but care to compare Reagan's spending to Obama's? Reagan doubled the size of the military and still spent less.

And partly because people were willing to conveniently overlook things like selling weapons to an enemy and how many scandals plagued his administration, look at how many of Reagan's crew were pardoned by Reagan's successor. More a triumph of style over substance than anything else.

Your intentional ignorance to focus on one area only does not deserve reply.

You mean the health care bill that passed because a majority of Congress voted for it and a majority of the U.S. population wanted health care reform but couldn't be totally done because Republicans did not want it?

True, he has practiced Chicago politics since day 1.which is divisive by nature , as most major cities are so one party machines, transparency and compromise are not required.

In short, Americans expecting a uniter were fooled by a bait and switch.
