Another Jury Revolts Against Marijuana Laws, "They felt marijuana should be legalized." | StoptheDrugWar.org

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come, citizens thinking critically and taking the laws into their own hands. The longest and costliest war in US history is a failure and was launched by lies and propaganda. There is no excuse for it's support anymore.

That is exactly what I plan to do if I ever end up on a jury in a marijuana case. I will never vote to convict a person of any marijuana related crime. I don't care how many stupid laws the federal and state governments have against it.

This is good.

This is very good.

There is absolutely no reason to keep pot illegal.

It's surprising how few people actually know about jury nullification, and its role in the judicial system.

That's the point of having jurors decide cases instead of panels of judges (who would obviously be better-versed in the laws themselves). The jurors have the ability to reject the very basis for the prosecution, whether or not the person on trial is technically guilty of the alleged charges.
