You know, of course, that you're not fooling anyone with your pretense to be Pro-Choice. No Pro-Choice person I've known---and I've known a LOT of them spread out over 70 years---has ever talked as crude and callous as you. If you're intent is to cast a bad light on people who support a woman's or couple's right to make the very difficult and heavy decision to abort, if necessary, it's not working.
I am pro-choice and believe abortion should be common. Legalized abortion has been a major factor in reducing crime and poverty. I am not so stupid that I let my pro-choice views override my scientific knowledge. Life begins at conception, that is a scientific fact.
Why is abortion such a difficult and heavy decision? Answer: Because it involves a human life.
Of course an individual human life begins at conception. That does not mean you can't kill it. What does politics have to do with biology?
And this is lib/pro-choice think now. It's a life but you can kill it anyway. Science tells us life begins at conception, the pro-choice people are giving up on saying it doesn't begin at that time since they are pro science but hey, who cares, they still have the right to kill it. Evil isn't it?
There is an old Chinese proverb: If you save a man's life, then you become responsible for that life.
It is, of course, an old saw that some Conservatives are extremely interested in 'saving' the life of an unborn child, but then disclaim any responsibility for that child: prenatal care, health care after birth, education, etc.
As I said in another thread, my brother-in-law (BIL) may be illustrative of how some anti-abortion people think: he is utterly against abortion, unless the woman is black or Hispanic. He is utterly racist, and makes no bones about it. He argues that it is mostly white women who have abortions, while the 'minorities' have babies that become a drain on society. Eventually, said BIL says, minorities will outnumber whites, which he opposes. Hence, he is against abortion, since such a prohibition will, to his mind, help increase the white population.
I have no idea if other anti-abortion folk think like him. However, I suspect so. I have heard, in the past, some KKK folk express similar thoughts. Others who think thus will, of course, hide behind semantics, Biblical arguments, etc,
I will end with another old saw: if God suddenly made it possible where Men could become pregnant, then abortion laws would become very, very liberal.

What does all that crap have to with the scientific question of when life begins?

I forgot that you only deal with scientific facts, like above.

Science actually tells us life begins well before conception. Maybe you can tell us why you arbitrarily select conception as the starting point?
Let me clarify: individual life, just like the science books say.
(Chuckling) Much like your strawmen about accusations of racism, you will be unable to produce any evidence of science books delineating "individual human life" from "human life." You do recognize, at some point, the sheer idiocy that is the logic that if something is human and is alive, it should be entitled to the same rights and protections as you or I, do you not? Of course you do. Nearly all of us recognize that at some level. If all these pro-lifers actually believed abortion was murder and millions of children were being callously murdered every year, they would surely react with force to protect the defenseless. Instead, they limit most of their objections to placing a bumper sticker on their cars.

I already produced it earlier in the thread for people like you who never got to middle-school. A basic scientific fact, of course you probably believe the Earth is 6000 years old also.
