Why haven't I seen CATO or the Reason Foundation do a piece on voter ID laws? That's how I know libertarians are closet conservatives. They never rally with liberals on any issue.

Isn't that weird? I don't know why they just don't say they are conservatives. Real libertarians are fiscal conservatives and social liberals.

They are conservatives. If you read the comments on
"libertarian" sites, you will see most if not all the commentary are of xenophobic or racist nature.

If we didn't have a welfare state, with open borders, I would see your point.
The system is set up to entice fraud.

Absentee ballots and computerized voting have decided too many elections, with fraudulent ballots.
At one time, there were many checks to make positively sure you were in fact a citizen of the USA.

A libertarian in support of citizens being deprived of rights granted by the constitution.

How ironic

No, it's a little more than that simple explanation.

Anyway, you need to be a citizen to vote. ID proves this.

How about a birth certificate, accompanied by a utility bill, or any form to prove your address?

Everyone has a birth certificate, right?

No

Some people don't have them. In some cases, they are hard to obtain and even expensive.

Actually no. In the past in some poor and more rural areas where home-births were common people getting birth certificates would fall through the cracks.
