So your belief is that "As long as it isn't as bad as what happens in the middle east it is ok here" ? Why no bother to include countries that have more progressive views when it comes to women's rights?

So? It's hardly just men that are pro-life. At any rally the vast majority are women. If women ran everything we would still be having this debate.

Yeah, so? you made a claim that millions of women are pro-life. Well, there are just as many who are pro-choice, so what was the point of the claim?

That the debate does not change based upon who gets pregnant.

Women here have it great!!! Go live in the ME then complain. GMAB because one or two clinics MIGHT close if that is the worst thing that happens to a women here be glad and shut up. Buy your own BC, don't make tax payers pay for abortions and don't expect every person to agree with the choices you make. I find it astonishing that women here can actually with a straight face say their is a war on them. When you look at what a real war on women is. And what country is soooooo much more progressive the the US. Abortion is legal here, birth control ready available, what the hell else do you want. Oh yeah I know. You want someone ELSE to pay for it.

Most of the women I know think that "the war on women" is just a load of crap.

I suppose that if you're a Liberal, it's a good talking point. But it just doesn't add up.

If a guy wants to screw a woman and he can't afford a 75 cent rubber, what is that woman doing with that guy anyway?

You would think that women would have higher standards.

I can't believe that reasonable and intelligent people would respond in this manner. It has nothing to do with right wing or left wing, although liberals love to politicize the issue. Can you not see that abortion destroys the life that has comes from our very own bodies and carries our DNA and our genetic traits? Can there be a greater expression of self loathing than destroying the life force we make in our image and likeness and ultimately that which reflects the image and likeness of God? Arguing in favor of abortion only proves that some people desire a culture of death and extinction more than the blessings of life. The hollow arguments in favor of abortion have not changed since Roe-v-Wade in 1973. The whole pro-abortion stand has become so redundant that it has become ridiculous.

Here this is the REAL war on women!!

THIS IS A REAL WAR ON WOMEN!!!!!!
Those pictures are horrible, but, what is your argument? That women aren't being stoned here (yet), so they should relax, and not be alert for efforts by Christain extremists to erode their rights? That's some bizarre logic.

Women came within AN EYELASH of seeing a law passed that would have forced them to endure unwanted, medically un-necessary VAGINAL PROBES in the Commonwealth of Virginia this year- right here in the good old' "Christian" USA. The only thing that caused McDonnell to cool it was his vice presidential ambitions.

Where do forced vaginal probes rank on your scale of outrage? Or are you good with that?

When it comes to violence against women, by patriarchal religious extremists, the difference between Christians and Muslims would seem to be a matter of degrees

And intellegent person knows the seperate the emotional rhetoric from fact based science and law and doesn't inject emotional nonsense into what is a legal matter. A fetus is not a baby. The law says so. Science says so.

Sorry if you don't like it, but nothing you say will change that fact. If you don't like it, then take it up with mother nature.

The only people trying to make it an issue are the right wing nut jobs that wish to put the US back 80 years, where women were at home and told what to do, could not vote, couldn't work, and were treated as property.

I can't stand when laws are passed for the wrong reasons, in this case to get around another law (ie: abortions are legal). It makes a muck of everything.

Regardless of your position on abortion you've got to admit that it's an abuse of power.
