At nearly every point in their lives, these Americans chose to slough the costs of those tax cuts and spending hikes onto future generations.
Sorry, are we still not doing this today? It's a very small minority in any of the generations that are calling for this to STOP.
One of the points was the cost of education. I agree that the cost of an education rising far and away more than the cost of living is a problem but what are the solutions presented by todays generation? Not to bring the costs down but for the government to pick up the tab adding to the problem of sloughing off the problem to future generations.
In reality, the "Greatest Generation" got the most benefit from Social Security, the "Silent Generation" steered it towards no future, the "Baby Boomers" worked their whole lives putting into it only to face loosing it right when they need it and us younger folks are gonna see Social Security go bust before we even get to our prime earning years, much less retirement.
It seems to me the Boomers have the most reason to whine here, not the kids who expected to jump right into their parent's lifestyle without working their way up to it like their parents did.
LOL! I think I just heard every adult kid still living at home with their mom and dad, reflexively reach for their iPhone...!!
Dear god, I saw some show recently where all these kids were asking Santa for iphones for Christmas.
A bunch of freakin' gradeschoolers living not much above the poverty line asking santa for iphones....that probably cost more than their parents rent or monthly mortgage.
