Enrollment in Food Stamps, Medicaid, and Disability Far Outpaces Job Growth in Last 4 Years | The Weekly Standard

He is NOT working out. Sorry. Hate the evil white rich guy all you want, but its time we vote Obama out and get someone else in there that at least has a clue. Time for you liberals to except the facts and put your prejudices aside. Obama is the opposite of what we need for the next 4 years.

Well, maybe it is working and maybe that's what they want.

A nation dependent on the government will keep those in power that promise the most.
Get the majority dependent and you're in power for as long as the promises hold.

We have added 15 million, at about 330,000 people per month, for 45 months, to Food Stamps since Jan 2009.

Absolutely horrible numbers. How can people be happy with that? I know Romney mentioned this in the first debate briefly, but this really needs to be hammered on over and over. This is NOT what a recovery looks like.

These numbers look great... If you're a braindead lib. Remember... Each new addition to the plantation means another automatic vote for the democrat party.

And poverty in the US is at a fifty year high.

In a grim portrait of a nation in economic turmoil, the government reported that the number of people living in poverty last year surged to 46.2 million — the most in at least half a century — as 1 million more Americans went without health insurance and household incomes fell sharply.

Poverty hits 50-year high, U.S says - Los Angeles Times

But the New York Times is happy, because we have 330,000 people a month going on Food Stamps, which keep us at this steady fifty year high for Americans living in poverty:

WASHINGTON — A new study by the Agriculture Department has found that food stamps, one of the country’s largest social safety net programs, reduced the poverty rate substantially during the recent recession. The food stamp program, formally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, reduced the poverty rate by nearly 8 percent in 2009, the most recent year included in the study, a significant impact for a social program whose effects often go unnoticed by policy makers.

Food Stamps Helped Reduce Poverty Rate, Study Finds

BTW, where are all the media folks who breathlessly reported the plight of the homeless. and those living in poverty during the Bush years?

Sometimes these threads remind me of Obama. Avoid important issues, like the economy and jobs, or even dead Americans in Libya, but stay heavily focused on distraction bs.

Good posts by the way Wapasha.

I am at a complete loss as to how anyone can seriously think we need to give 0bama another four years. Our country's economy is historically bad. It's not just things could be better, many aspects of our economy are worse today, then they were in 2009 and worse then they were fifty years ago. This is not a hiccup, its an utter economic disaster.
