I've worked 6 days a week for many years. Wouldn't bother me. The "same pay" thing would be another issue...
Correct me if I'm wrong but how can it be the same pay? I assume you mean the sam hourly rate? if so then for example if you work 40 hours a week rate @10.00 hourly rate = 400.00 ok now make that 48 hours a week @10.00 hourly rate = 480.00. See even if you go by a yearly salary it still changes your salary because you worked longer hours. Although it adds to your gross pay it and the higher your gross the more taxes are taken out but still you end up with more net pay due to longer hours. The same pay would be an issue for me too. I'd rather bargain/work for a higher salary than keep the same salary/rate and have to add more hours to work to feel like I got something.
Most Americans are not workers, they are slaves. I work 40 hours/week, sometimes I will do a little overtime but this 2 week off a year crap is ridiculous, it is amazing how easily brainwashed and manipulated you little Rush Limbaugh listening fools are!
In most civilized countries, citizens get 4 weeks of vacation per year which is what I am getting right now- I work as a contractor right now and having my 4 week vacation is the least I deserve!
Like in Germany, they get 4 weeks of vacation a year and they are as productive, if not more productive than Americans because they use their time at work more wisely.
Just the time the average American spends at work BS'ing, getting coffee, watercooler conversations, potlucks, all these BS "teamwork" activities. Cut this crap and give us another 2 weeks of vacay!

I know of a company that had great-paying jobs recently. There were 40 people who showed up wanting to "go to work." First thing that was told to them.. The hours are 6 days a week-10 hours per day, minimum. Sometimes, 12 to 14 hours a day and Sundays sometimes. Half-the people walked out. Second statement - "You have to take a drug test to go to work, and after that we randomly drug-test. The other half walked out. What that tells me.. 1/2 the people wanting a job are too lazy to work for it.. the other half couldn't keep it if they had it....
Hell no. It's one thing to own your own business and work hard to build it up, as you are working for yourself. But to do six days a wk for the same pay while working for someone else? Nope. I've got a life to live, thanks.
