No that's not fair. The hispanics will oppress the whites and the whites will opress the blacks. Trickle down oppression. Spread the oppression will be the next slogan from the left.

They will oppress the asians or muslims I guess. I don't know you folks are in charge of who does the oppressing and disenfranchising. Figure it out. Your leader should point he way.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you are asking this question sincerely. We really can't know how the continuing diversification of the U.S. electorate will affect elections in 50 years. In 2062, based on the past, I can predict that both (all) parties will evolve, just as they have throughout American history.

For example, let's jump back 50 years to 1962. JFK was the President, and he had won over Nixon/Agnew in 1960 with the Washington outsider (yet TX Senator) LBJ as his running mate. The Civil Rights Movement was quickly growing, and African Americans throughout the South were largely disenfranchised by white southern Democrats, and the Republican Party, (the Party of Lincoln), had virtually no traction in the former Confederate states. In fact, in most southern primaries, white Democrats ran against each other uncontested by Republicans. By 1964 when LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act and especially by 1965 when he signed the Voting Rights Act, many southern democrats, voters and politicians alike, defected to the GOP, emboldened by Goldwater's failed 1964 presidential bid.

So by 1972, up-and-coming southern white politicians like Trent Lott (R-MS) spearheaded the red-state southern trend. You can infer from that anything that you want; these are historical facts that really aren't arguable. This general defection from the Democratic party by southern whites coupled with the silencing of Republican liberals like NY's John D. Rockefeller continues to shape our political landscape, although one might still perceive the vestiges of the East Coast Republican liberals in such politicians as Governor Rudy Guiliani and Mayor Michael Bloomberg. 1980s-era Reaganism signaled another conservative sea-change, but as much as Reagan might be idealized by Tea-Party types for his mythos, as an actual person he would probably be rejected by current conservatives. He rarely went to church; he barely recognized one of his sons on the campaign trail; and he was hardly a poster boy for family values.

It's also important to note that many urban African Americans who fled the South during the Great First and Second migrations were staunch Republicans because of the violent oppression they'd experienced during the southern reign of terror following Reconstruction; it was only after FDR's ascendancy that such urban black voters became Democrats as FDR acted to end the Great Depression, arguably through renewed manufacturing to aid the war effort during WWII. At the same time, many prominent African-American intellectuals such as Richard Wright, W.E.B. DuBois, and James Baldwin flirted with the CPU-USA and/or socialist politics.

I've ignored a lot of history in this post, but I don't want to bore you. You could really look back at American history in 50-year intervals to see similar upheavals. During the 1830s, for example, nativist riots rocked much of the then U.S., destroying large parts of American cities and killing many who weren't deemed sufficiently "American." Anti-free-black riots by whites occurred in Cincinnati in 1835, with dozens of black people killed. The anti-conscription riots in NYC claimed at least 100 black lives in 1863, and in 1921, white people rioted in Tulsa in a prominent and successful black neighborhood, killing about 300 people.

These are just a smattering of examples of how Americans have dealt (or not dealt) with racial and other kinds of conflict, so it seems to me that there is no way to predict what might happen in fifty years other than by talking about history. It seems to me, though, that it would be a lot smarter to talk both about history and where we are going than to talk about how young people of whatever race might be wearing their pants. Aren't there more important topics for discussion befitting citizens in a democracy?

Some of this can depend on how people are viewing Hispanics and their growth.

Are Hispanics non-white? Well there are many Hispanics who look "white" because they are white. So when you hear the words Hispanic or Latino keep in mind that it includes people of various races and mixtures who can appear many ways. White Hispanics just aren't "Anglo white" culturally but they're still white.

I am not racists....I cherish the diversity of all peoples....I crave multiculturalism!!!!!!!

BUT...I believe that Whites have created and maintained the greatest societies in the world. No knock on any other races...but I believe the USA being controlled by these other races WILL be a step down for this country.

Keep in mind that those whites didn't have many barriers hampering their abilities to participate in those societies.
