The problem is that most people blindly side with either party truly believing that they have our best interests at heart. I think that anyone with minimal awareness can notice the game that has been played here for a good while: Party A goes to power, fails to deliver some/a lot of the campaign promises so a good chunk of the population is disappointed so during the next election Party B is elected, but then they do the same thing (perhaps on different issues so most people won't concentrate on the similarity with Party A...).

Because embracing a political view for many is like upholding a religion, few will put their ego aside long enough to notice REALITY, instead they just busy themselves battling the "opposition", each side justifies all the "mistakes" (no such thing in politics) of their side while loudly denouncing those of the other. A real circus but it keeps people from noticing what's really going on.

If people put their pride aside and impartially researched certain things instead of trying to tear down those of us who are just trying to warn others, maybe this country could return to what it once was. It's time to wake up to the truth, which is that the "elite" bankers have been trying to control the economy of the world and want to implement a "New World Order" (NWO), a term that George Bush Sr. often referred to in his speeches and many other leaders. And if you think it's all "paranoia" from conspiracy theorists, I'd highly recommend you dedicate some of your time to researching what you're ridiculing without knowledge so you can know the facts. I also suggest that you give a little thought to the creation of the European Union as a crucial step towards the NWO agenda.

Next, see if you remember ever hearing any mention of the NorthAmerican Union (U.S.A., Canada & Mexico). The irony of it all is that while Bush signed papers to authorize the building of border walls with Mexico, thus outraging them in a grand show for the press and the satisfaction of many American people, at the same time he was pushing the building....

Any Christians who read this will have no problem believing what I'm saying because it's the fulfillment of prophecy from the book of Daniel and Revelations of The Bible, but of course the atheists will pooh-pooh it and that's to be expected. My concern really is those in the middle who haven't yet connected the dots.

Alex Jones much? The four horsemen? Really? Yawn, there is always some crazy predicting the end of the world....boring.

Lol, very likely so! (And that probably explains other angry men around here...)

What is the historical basis for this statement?

Might it have something to do with Woodrow Wilson arguing of rthe League of Nations for the prevention of future wars?
Could it have been the sanctions that were imposed upon Germany that caused hardships for the country? and had to borrow monies from America to pay for their war debt .

so when Hitler cane onto the scene with his charismatic style and the blaming of everyone for the problems. They thought he could return Germany to its once greatness.

From the OP link..this is all you need to remember and keep in mind:

"Because they knew what government officials have known throughout history — that during extreme national emergencies, people are most scared and thus much more willing to surrender their liberties in return for “security.†"

Excerpts from biographies...

Quote:
After the war Hitler was stationed in Munich, the capital of Bavaria. While Hitler was in Munich, the capital of Bavaria, Kurt Eisner, leader of the Independent Socialist Party, declared Bavaria a Socialist Republic. Hitler was appalled by the revolution. As a German Nationalist he disagreed with the socialist belief in equality.

Hitler saw socialism as part of a Jewish conspiracy. Many of the socialist leaders in Germany, including Kurt Eisner, Rosa Luxemburg, Ernst Toller and Eugen Levine were Jews. So also were many of the leaders of the October Revolution in Russia. This included Leon Trotsky, Gregory Zinoviev, Lev Kamenev, Dimitri Bogrov, Karl Radek, Yakov Sverdlov, Maxim Litvinov, Adolf Joffe, and Moisei Uritsky. It had not escaped Hitler's notice that Karl Marx, the prophet of socialism, had also been a Jew.

It was no coincidence that Jews had joined socialist and communist parties in Europe. Jews had been persecuted for centuries and therefore were attracted to a movement that proclaimed that all men and women deserved to be treated as equals. This message was reinforced when on 10th July, 1918, the Bolshevik government in Russia passed a law that abolished all discrimination between Jews and non-Jews

Information supplied by Hitler helped to track down several soldiers involved in the uprising. His officers were impressed by his hostility to left-wing ideas and he was recruited as a political officer. Hitler's new job was to lecture soldiers on politics.

The main aim was to promote his political philosophy favoured by the army and help to combat the influence of the Russian Revolution on the German soldiers.

While in Landsberg he read a lot of books. Most of these dealt with German history and political philosophy. Later he was to describe his spell in prison as a "free education at the state's expense." One writer who influenced Hitler while in prison was Henry Ford, the American car-manufacturer. Hitler read Ford's autobiography, My Life and Work, and a book of his called The International Jew. In the latter Ford claimed that there was a Jewish conspiracy to take over the world. Hitler also approved of Ford's hostile views towards communism and trade unions.

Hitler warned that the Aryan's superiority was being threatened by intermarriage. If this happened world civilization would decline: "On this planet of ours human culture and civilization are indissolubly bound up with the presence of the Aryan. If he should be exterminated or subjugated, then the dark shroud of a new barbarian era would enfold the earth."

Hitler believed that Aryan superiority was being threatened particularly by the Jewish race who, he argued, were lazy and had contributed little to world civilization. (Hitler ignored the fact that some of his favourite composers and musicians were Jewish). He claimed that the "Jewish youth lies in wait for hours on end satanically glaring at and spying on the unconscious girl whom he plans to seduce, adulterating her blood with the ultimate idea of bastardizing the white race which they hate and thus lowering its cultural and political level so that the Jew might dominate."
Adolf Hitler : Biography

Sadly, it sounds to me that if Hitler were here today, he's be ranting in the side of the right wing radicals.

That was exactly the point I was trying to make! As far as I'm concerned the "trigger" for the dictator to want to do what his sick mind makes him do is not what matters but the end result. Btw, yesterday I found this link, it's about a study that confirms that power seekers have an abnormal brain

It would sound better when dissected into points that literally made for his platform:
1- Destroy unions.
2- Promote Christianity
3- Fear monger against liberalism and communism
4- Use instability to promote agenda against immigrants, diversity and for racial purity
5- Defend the institution of marriage
6- Expand military industrial complex and investment towards "strongest military ever"
7- Criminalize Homosexuality
8- Cleanse media of "sexual filth" and promote early marriage
9- Promote missionary work in Europe
10- Define "morality" for all
11- Organize labor and production under the elite who would contribute and support his position
12- Ultra-nationalism, that his country is NEVER wrong or has any short comings
13- Promote religious education in schools
:

Should I go on?

Hitler became a dictator because people were looking for extremes. In today's economic climate and idealistic tension I worry about another Hitler from either the Liberals or the Conservatives. To avoid this both sides need to become more moderate and work with each other.

Please leave Christianity and the values it represents out of whatever weird point YOU're trying to make, it has actually made many important contributions to society that everyone takes for granted. What happens is that some people want to be able to act every which way without any regard for others so they're opposed to all types of rules, however, throughout history any civilization where people rejected morality and were excessively permissive doomed itself to end (i.e., Babylon, Greece, the Roman Empire, etc.).
