Do you believe that the US should stop supporting Israel, and stop worrying about the Middle Eastern conflicts between Israel, Palestine (Arabs)?

I think the U.S. should stay away from other nations' conflicts.... We don't want another 9/11, or people hate us Americans for supporting and favoring a nation over another!

We sat by as Hitler carried out his campaign to exterminate Jews, and others he deemed unworthy of life. It was shameful of us to do that without intervening. So will we sit back and watch people with similar intentions have their way? Not on our watch.

This has nothing to do with Hitler, the Nazi's and Nazi Germany during WWII.

This is about Israel and Palestinian conflict. ~25% of Israel are Non-Jews, of those are minority Christians.
There are Christian Palestinians as well.

Please leave religion out of this. This is about the two nations.

It's hard NOT to leave religion out of this.

Those on both sides of the fence keep on bringing it up. More so on Israel's side. Right wing Zionists use the "god given land" claim for Israel and those same fanatical anti-Zionists use the "real Judaism rejects Zionism" BS as well.

The answer is that I believe Israel should be supported in having the right to defend itself but only if the response is proportionate and we should encourage the violence to stop as soon as possible. That or stay out of it.

We should NOT take Hamas's side only, that would make no sense. Supporting Palestine can be being anti-Hamas. Hamas started this whole conflict by continuing rocket attacks at Israel despite warnings of a full blown operation.

Of course it's tragic seeing the deaths of the Palestinians and the discussion of the proportion of Israel's response is legitimate, but when it comes down to it, Israel was provoked, and like Turkey with Syria (yes, TURKEY) that threatened the same thing, any country would likely defend itself against constant attacks.

I don't think it matters what Israel or the US does to try and make peace with the Palestinians, until Israel gives up Jerusalem the fight will continue...... would this be a religious view of the Palestinians or are they trying to compromise with Israel for the right to claim Jerusalem? I do believe most everything the Palestinians do is religious based, hard to not involve it.

This is one reason we are were we're at, we never want to think the way they think....

These people are Arabs like all other Arabs, and they happen to live in a region called Palestine. They are not a separate people or are they a nation.......

What makes a separate people? Religion, language, culture, cuisine, etc. The Arabs in Palestine speak the same language, practice the same religion, have the same culture, etc., as all the other Arabs. The few minor differences that exist between them are like the minor differences that exist between the American Northerners and Southerners, Easterners and Westerners... but they are still all Americans. People in the south of France are quite different from the people in the north, but they are still all French. These inconsequential differences do not make a people.

The Arabs living in Syria or Jordan, etc., are also the same Arabs, but they are each a separate nation because they each have a separate country. The so-called Palestinians want a separate country because they claim to be a separate nation. They are not....... They were never a separate people before the new state of Israel. How did they become one now? Is this because Arafat told them they were a nation....

The US should stand with Israel.........Israel can take care of her own battles we just need to stay out of it.

America as the last man standing

The war against Israel is not a war against Israel. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel, Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West. It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel, they can get everything. Therefore, it is not that the West has a stake in Israel. It is Israel.

It is very difficult to be an optimist in the face of the growing Islamization of Europe. All the tides are against us. On all fronts we are losing. Demographically the momentum is with Islam. Muslim immigration is even a source of pride within ruling liberal parties. Academia, the arts, the media, trade unions, the churches, the business world, the entire political establishment have all converted to the suicidal theory of multiculturalism. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a ‘right-wing extremists’ or ‘racists’. The entire establishment has sided with our enemy. Leftists, liberals and Christian-Democrats are now all in bed with Islam.
