Lansing Republicans Pushing Tax Credit for Fetuses After Eliminating Tax Credit for Children - Progress Michigan

HB 5684 and 5685 give tax credit for fetuses past 12 weeks gestation, would cost taxpayers up to $10 MILLION

LANSING - Today Lansing Republicans held a hearing on House Bills 5684 and 5685 in the Tax Policy Committee, which would give a tax credit for unborn fetuses past 12 weeks of gestation. After Lansing Republicans eliminated a state tax credit for parents with children last year, these bills would send a clear message to parents that “your kids don’t count.” The nonpartisan House Fiscal Agency estimates that the bills will cost taxpayers $5-10 MILLION on an annual basis.

Sadly my status line is the repug platform.

Love the fetus, hate the child.

Default Ohio Repubs Go After Planned Parenthood Again...

Ohio GOP's Election Lesson: We Should Go After Planned Parenthood Again! | Mother Jones

Proponents of the bill like Ohio Right to Life insist that they just want to prevent Planned Parenthood from hogging funds that could go to other health centers. But as the nonprofit Innovation Ohio pointed out in a recent blog post, only two of the 36 reproductive health and wellness grants and two of the six PREP grants awarded last year went to Planned Parenthood providers.

Kight said the latest effort fits in the broader attack on reproductive rights in the state. "The overall attitude in Ohio has been, 'How can we make abortion more dangerous and difficult to get?' rather than 'Let's reduce the number of abortions by improving access to education and health care,'" Kight said.

"They are out to kill Planned Parenthood," said Democratic state Sen. Nina Turner, "and they don't care how they do it."

Did they learn nothing?

Clearly they have not, which is not surprising as it coincides with the inherent stupidity, ignorance and hypocrisy at the very core and foundation of the current radical right wing. This stuff will lead to their demise and good riddance!

Instead of finding ways to get Americans back to work, they're still on this defund planned parenthood thing. The House wasted 4 years doing this.

Nope, they don't get it.
Maybe someone should tell them planned parenthood doesn't fund abortions? Nor does the Fed..

I'm for it -- a pregnant woman has added expenses -- food, medical and preparation for the baby's birth. Everyone should get the IRS exemption, and the parents should get it for their children under age 18.

As long as those who kill their babies aren't given the tax credit.

So you are all for people getting pregnant just to get a tax credit while deny the same tax credit after the child is born?

Once again Republicans are trying to further their control over women.

A totally ill conceived (haha) idea on their part. The last gasp of a dying breed, thankfully.

Yawn..... yet another delusional feminazi women hating thread

But, the dulusional nature of the demotards as to why they won is quite funny.... they actually believe that the majority was worried about abortions and this kind of retarded thinking is far from reality

Your party of angry hatefilled ignorant fools won because you promised people free things and the state run media protected Obama

Anyways, keep on going with the delusional thinking and believe that people are moving to the left regarding the abortion issue...... those of us with intelligence will continue to laugh at you while you are in line at the DSS office and the health clinic waiting to get those herpes cured.....feminazis....
