Yes, we all agree Mr.White is probably a racist, but don't expect anyone to buy the stuff your pushing, bro.
Yeah, I figured that someone would object to that. The article that the OP linked to has provided enough examples of these irrational fears, however. Or if you want another example, if you have Netflix, watch the film "Birth of a Nation" The fact is, the black guys ranting about "the white man" are usually kooks on street corners. The guys ranting about "the black man's rule" created the first modern movie - and had it screened for the president at the White House. Dinesh D'Souza's modern equivalent, however, doesn't seem to be nearly as popular.

The thing is, we also have movies and shows about being ruled over by white people. Things like "Roots" or "Eyes on the Prize". We have no need for fiction, we just tell our history. And the thing is, we're still here. You won't find Al Sharpton or Melissa Harris-Perry sobbing about how a Romney presidency would be "the end of Black America", because we know better. We wouldn't bother with rants about "White people taking our stuff" because that's not anywhere near as bad as it used to be. We're not running into white neighbourhoods searching for "illegitimate voters". Black women don't clutch their purses when they see a white guy in a business suit walk by.

I'm hardly the first person who has noticed this. You ask us to look to reality, but you seem not to hasve noticed that the great majority of this country's history was one of, among other things, institutionalized white supremacy.

OP summarized the article incorrectly. It does not state that white privilege is a myth. It says that white supremacists are freaking out because they feel false sense of victimization and a fear that white privilege, something they assume is the nature of things, may be a myth.
