It is self-explanatory to anyone who knows history. You probably don't remember Pol Pot. Well when he was done, there were caves with skulls stacked like cannon-balls of his betters he had killed.

Obama is doing this on a much softer basis, i.e. soft tyranny, or as I call it bureaucratic tyranny.

Once you understand human nature, and, specifically, the nature who lust for power, you will understand. The follow similar patters.

One of this is wrenching control of all medical services, Another is hammering those capable is resistance.

You haven't made a case to rest. Just some childish anecdotal "evidence". Try again, or not.

Anyone who starts making arguments comparing Obama, Bush, Clinton, Romney, etc to Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, etc automatically loses the argument, period, end of discussion.

Whenever you wish higher taxes on your neighbor for vengeance, you make bureaucrats smile because they know the neighbor will soon return the favor.

That's because you are one of the mesmerized Obama cult.

In effect, soft tyranny occurs whenever the social conditions of a particular community hinder any prospect of hope among its members. Hope is the driving force behind all democratic institutions. As such, whenever this all-encompassing hope is taken away from the people, liberal democracy fails. Ironic that Obama used "Hope and Change" in his 2008 speech.

On January 20th, 2009, the United States of America ushered in a new age of tyranny and oppression. This is a prime example of a tyrannical majority rule where there's a democratic majority in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate. In addition to this, the executive branch is smeared with far-left ideologists.

Soft Tyranny

Obama wants everyone to pay higher taxes.

Marxist tactics are consistently the center of a soft tyranny. Whether it be price controls, regulations, higher taxes which cripple a free market society, we gradually stray farther and farther away from what our country was built upon.

Individuals that believe that socialism is the most efficient way of running an economy have been clouded by the ideals. While capitalism rewards success, socialism rewards failure. Never let a crises go to waste. These individuals will stop at nothing to use any crisis such as the housing bubble to impose their policy upon the people.

soft tyranny weakens the current generation and stupefies the next.

With Obama is re-elected, we will see soft tyranny turn to hard tyranny.

These graphs show that, under both Republican President Calvin Coolidge and Democratic President John F. Kennedy, high-income people paid more tax revenues into the federal treasury after tax rates went down than they did before.

There is nothing mysterious about this. At high tax rates, vast sums of money disappear into tax shelters at home or is shipped overseas.

At lower tax rates, that money comes out of hiding and goes into the American economy, creating jobs, rising output and rising incomes.

Under these conditions, higher tax revenues can be collected by the government, even though tax rates are lower.

Indeed, high income people not only end up paying more taxes, but a higher share of all taxes, under these conditions.

--------------------------------------

The fact that tax increases on the rich as an actual solution to the financial problems is a collective indictment of the people of the country and our understanding of economics. Either that or we are just not interested in fixing the finances - and just want to get even with the rich people.

Conservatives always seem to believe that the world perfectly compliments their ideological narratives.

This is a very skewed way to see the world, because you have to ignore or deny large parts of it that inevitably contradict that ideolgical narrative. This creates huge blind spots.

To say that increasing taxes doesn't increase revenue is a f c king lie.

Now whether someone thinks it is a good idea to increase tax rates or not that is a discussion I suppose, but to just flat out lie and say that increasing taxes won't increase revenues as a matter fact is just bs.

This is what I mean by conservatives, in their world increased taxes are bad, so they just invent a world where raising taxes doesn't actually raise revenue.

Sowell is being a con man with that sentiment.
