Conservatives always seem to be so proud and excited at the lethal power they have at their fingertips. Always talking about how they are ready to kill, how effectively they could kill, how many they could kill. It really seems to get their heart rate up. And then we're asked to believe that they are reasonable, responsible people for such weapons.
yeah, look at all those dirty conservatives in the military.
Exactly. Just as I was pointing out in the post that you quoted and replied to, nobody knows for sure what he would have done without access to his mother's guns. Saying that if she hadn't owned firearms he wouldn't have committed these murders is asinine.
Not quite. Because we KNOW what he did and we KNOW how he did it - and that was by utilizing his mother's weapons.
We absolutely do not have to guess about that one, do we? We know how he did it.
There is NO WAY you can know that. Had he not had easy access to those guns ~ who knows whether or not he would have found another way?
You don't know.
dont try to reason with gun control fanatucs. they would rather have 26 murdered as long as it furthers their agenda to disarm the rest of the populace.

You're going to beat this horse all the way to the glue factory, aren't you?
Yes, we know how he did it. What we don't know is whether his mother not owning firearms would have prevented this tragedy. Again, violence on a large scale can be committed without using a firearm, as has been demonstrated throughout history. The fact that he used his mother's guns to commit these murders, while tragic, does not mean that his mother not owning guns would have prevented anything. If he was truly determined to do violence, he would have found a way, with or without firearms.
I tried very hard, but I can't think of any reason why a law abiding citizen would want to own an assault weapon. If your true motive for owning a gun is to protect yourself, why isn't a normal gun good enough? What's next, your own miniature nuclear bomb under the guise of "Second Amendment rights"? Where does it stop?
Hey, NewYorkGuy...what's an assault weapon?
No, really. What is it?
What makes it an assault weapon?
Who coined the term?
What makes it different from another weapon?

I save lives for a living.
I clean up disasters, mistakes, and see every scope of violence, irresponsibility, monstrous behavior, and tragedy.
And if for ONE SECOND I thought banning guns would really decrease suffering on this planet, I'd be the FIRST PERSON to back this.
But you people defy logic...people who obey the law are not the problem.
Yeah...then they ask you "you wouldn't really shoot them would you?"
Without batting an eye.
I'll sit down and have a Dr. Pepper and eat some leftover pizza afterwards too.
I knew there was something wrong with you.. You don't drink Coke..
