I never thought that guns help give poor people an illusion of empowerment against the Government, until reading this post.

Turn it around, by arming schools, shopping center, theaters, the people. Freedom to carry is the solution.
Educate the populace about guns, and they will fear them less. Familiarity breeds acceptance and understanding.
The media should go back to 18th century tech writing the news with a quill pen and standing on a box.. The framers never knew there would be digital tv and all these other modes of news and media makes up this stuff.

That night media hung out as close to the Killing Zone as they could... creating Drama.

Gun owners - are you happy having the death of the school kids on your hands?

if you blame us for the blood of children, then you also must blame the federal goverment for the same blood on their hands. after all, it is their failed policies and laws that led up to all the children being killed in each and every school.

According to the FBI gun deaths are going down. This trend downward follows the upward trend with concealed carrier permits. Thus the data indicates we need more permits and more guns.

How about you go eff yourself.

Alcohol kills TEN times the amount of people than guns every year.
That includes thousands of kids and families hit by drunk drivers.

Yes, I am in favor of alcohol bans, especially high-cap containers that allow multiple swigs to be drank without need for a refill. From now one, you have to sell beer in single-swallow containers, and no spirits (assault alcohol) at all.

I'm just curious.. What will be your reaction when a maniac once again uses a homemade bomb and does even more? Will you be screaming for a ban on bombs? Wait, we already have one of those. The fact that this young man utilized a gun in his crime doesn't take away from the fact that he was mentally imbalanced and would most likely have committed the crime with or without a firearm. In fact eventually someone will figure out how easy and cheap it is to make a bomb and do much more devistation. What will your reaction be? What will you call for then? What excuses will you make? It's time to face the facts that our society is turning out mentally ill young people and until we address the root problem, all the bans in creation will not stop the carnage. Stop blaming an inanimate object and address the human aspect of the problem and then you will have done something actually constructive.

If you want to like to live in a third world banana republic, where everybody is shooting all the time, then by all means you go and live there. But stop trying to turn this country into a place like that.
