Both are right on different points. Obviously we don't want crazy people getting guns, and we certainly do need to do something about crazy people getting guns. But we also do not want to disarm the people. Disarming the people has not been proven to do any good.
The state where it is easiest to buy a gun, is Vermont. Yet, Vermont has almost the lowest murder rate in the entire country.
There is no truth to the idea that guns cause crime. Neither murders, and especially not violent crime.
But, there are things that can be done. I think we should both eliminate gun-free zones, as well as do a better job in preventing the mentally ill from getting these guns.
It reminds me of the Chris Rock song... "No Sex in the Champagne Room".
There is a line where he says... "Don't go to parties with metal detectors.... Sure it feels safe on the inside... But what about all those people outside with guns? They know you ain't got one."
I have no possible idea how someone could say that Pratt destroyed Piers in that clip. More like the other way around.
It's very simple how you can, the second any adult calls someone an idiot during a debate or a discussion they have immediately disqualified themselves no matter how many good points they have made. He might as well have said your argument is good, it's angering me, I have no intelligent response and to make up for my inadequacies I'll just call you idiot...

Piers is pretty wound up, I think he should step back from the debate. I'm pretty much where he's at so I wouldn't even try hosting a debate on the subject.
A guy I work with has some connections to that area. His parents told him they heard the coroner had a nervous breakdown of sorts dealing with all those little babies shot up by this terrible weapon. The AR15 does terrible damage to the human body. It's not designed for defense, it's designed to intimidate and kill. It's essentially a murder weapon, not a defensive weapon.
And that is exactly what needs to happen day in and day out until we get peoples' heads out of their behinds on this issue. Piers is to be commended for taking a strong leadership role - we need more spokesmen like him.
This is not a matter of left - right. It is a matter of civilized - savage, thoughtful - reckless, responsible - irresponsible.
Public distribution of guns has got to go....and it will go. As sadly - tragically, the petrified minds of the gun zealots will insure repeat performances of the horror we just went through. You know as well as I that it won't take many more to effect a sea-change in public sentiment. There will come a day when the merchants of death won't dare open their mouths in public and it can't come too soon.
Why don't you see if Piers would want take you with him when he goes back to that much safer country? I think you would surely enjoy yourself there.
Piers Morgan is someone who definitely should not be allowed to buy or own a gun. He's too close to the edge. Definitely ready to come unglued.
He's one of those that would fail a background check if mental illness were reported.
