Regulations aimed at banning arms or certain accessories are the same as disarming. Requiring a person not be a violent felon to buy a gun is a logical regulation to a point (not that it will stop the felon), banning a standard capacity magazine be it the 12 rounders in my CZ82 or the standard 20 to 30 rounders for an AR is not acceptable.

Banning ALL arms would be disarming. Regulating what you can arm self with, or not, is not disarming.

DC made that same argument before the SCOTUS, that since they allowed some firearms it was not unconstitutional. The SCOTUS rejected that argument.

And yet, we have regulations on gun ownerships. Texas, for example, has its own. Does that mean Texas has chosen to disarm its people?

Texas doesn't ban the ownership of any type of gun. They have rules governing how guns are carried and used, but no bans.

It regulates them. But you've already pointed out that there is no distinction to be made between regulations and disarmament. However, I do see that you may not want to stick with that previous argument of yours (for now) since it wouldn't make sense here.

I understand the right wing mind well.

The regulations you gun grabbers are proposing are bans, not rules against shooting someone or a felon carrying concealed.

Let the excuses begin. Why didn't you make that argument earlier, instead of refusing to accept that regulations do not automatically mean disarming?

Hmm, you think maybe enlightenedt thinker, scholar, and statesman James Madison would side with sensible gun controls or bunker dwelling right wing gun fetish clowns?
"bunker dwelling right wing gun fetish clowns?[/quote"

Do you really think people will take anything you say seriously, with language like this?
