You know, I'll agree to this but first make the Muslims act against theirs then we’ll talk. Seriously though, this is a huge attempt at nullifying the First Amendment. They have made laws prohibiting the free exercise of religion. They certainly cannot pretend that they are not Marxists anymore.

Obama Administration: We Can and Will Force Christians to Act Against Their Faith | CNS News

In a legal argument formally presented in federal court in the case of Hobby Lobby v. Kathleen Sebelius, the Obama administration is claiming that the First Amendment—which expressly denies the government the authority to prohibit the “free exercise” of religion—nonetheless allows it to force Christians to directly violate their religious beliefs even on a matter that involves the life and death of innocent human beings.

The Obama administration is making a two-fold argument for why it can force Christians to act against their faith in complying with the regulation it has issued under the Obamacare law that requires virtually all health care plans to cover, without co-pay, sterilizations, contraceptives, and abortion-inducing drugs.
The first argument the administration makes against the owners of Hobby Lobby is that Americans lose their First Amendment right to freely exercise their religion when they form a corporation and engage in commerce. A person’s Christianity, the administration argues, cannot be carried out through activities he engages in through an incorporated business.

The second argument the administration makes to justify forcing Christians to act against their faith is more sweeping. Here the administration argues it can force a person to act against his religion so long as the coercion is done under the authority of a law that is neutral and generally applicable—in other words, as long as the law was not written specifically to persecute Christians as Christians, the government can use that law to persecute Christians.

The Obama administration is the enemy of the Constitution, and thus the republic.

How do contraceptives, which prevent conception, involve the life and death of innocent human beings?

Look. If the owner of Hobby Lobby doesn't want to use birth control, he is free not to. However, he has no right to impose his Taliban religious practices onto others!

The first argument is a non-starter given Citizens United. The second argument, however, is likely to succeed based on Employment Division v. Smith

Get off your high horse. Nobody is "imposing" anything. You're not forced to work there. If you want to work someplace that insures a procedure or product which is not offered by the insurance that Hobby Lobby offers, then go work someplace else.

There needs to be more laws for religion and their churches. They need to start paying their fair share...they get way too many tax exemptions. We could probably balance the budget if they paid up. They use their pulpit for their political views which opposes rights for gays and women and expect their parishioners to fall in line. And have you seen some of the houses they live in. Wow! Guess where that money is coming from. Religion has become a profit making business and an all mans club. They still feel women are inferior and that their only role in life is to procreate. The church can still live in antiquated times but women have evolved. How about they start paying taxes and then they don't have to cover contraceptives.

Mr. Hobby Lobby has no right to impose his religious practices onto his employees. Nor can he discriminate by hiring only those who would not use birth control any more than he can refuse customers who practice birth control.

However, Mr. Hobby Lobby is free to sell his business or to move it to a country that does not condone birth control.

Not only is this a First Amendment violation, but at fines of $1.3 million PER DAY, how is this not an Eighth Amendment violation as well?
[
Amendment VIII

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

A fine of $1.3 million per day for not paying for employees' abortions seems just a tad excessive to me, but then again I'm not a rabid baby-killer.

You people realize an insurance company is not the same thing as a religious group?
